Went for a bento lunch - very good value at $50. had the black cod, nice tempura prawns, selection of sushi, vegetables and rice and served in a lovely bento box. Add a rather expensive glass of wine which doesn't have lunchtime pricing and a $22 cocktail for my daughter and we spent $140 for lunch - not cheap, but... More

Nobu Melbourne is unlike Nobu in the UK. The service was slow and inattentive. We sat for about half an hour before they came to take our orders. The ambience was ok and can be slightly noisy at tunes. The food was good but I guess given the price, the atmosphere and service, it will not be my standout choice.... More

We came here 2 years ago and were most impressed with the atmosphere, the exquisite flavours and the passionate top notch service, it was just superb, expensive but really worth it ! So 2 yrs on we are back in Melbourne and booked the perfect place again... Sadly, our experience this time was somewhat disappointing. The vibe of the place... More

i managed to get a seat for lunch on Thursday, 13 March at 12noon exactly. The 2 course lunch Festival for AUD40.00 was as good as a la carte, The sushi chef plated it carefully as I watch him over the counter. I ordered their dessert just to try out their home made matcha ice-cream, which was creamy and slightly... More

What a shame to spoil an amazing culinary experience with shocking service. I'm disappointed that the chefs work exceptionally hard to deliver sublime Japanese food only for the service to make me never want to return. On arrival I waited 5 minutes at an empty desk to be greeted by someone. A large group who arrived a few minutes after... More

I have been witnessing a gradual decline in Nobu's glory over the the period of time since they have taken an aggressive expansion worldwide. Melbourne's Nobu, situated in Crown Casino is just a perfect example how not to run an expensive restaurant. I must say that the quality of fish is still high. Not worth the money you pay (6-9... I have been to the pop up Nobu that was set up in Paris at the Ritz a few years back and always wanted to go back to Nobu. The Melbourne was a different experience, its a very large restaurant and more modern in its ambience. The food was excellent, the black cod is to die for. There are some... More

I've herd a lot about this restaurant being a great dining experience! I was very wrong! There was six of us all together and we were greeted by these two obnoxious blondes who wouldn't even look us in the eye we had to wait for our booked table and when asked to come downstairs at first we didn't hear so... We went to Nobu on a Saturday night for some drinks and something to eat. The cocktails were varied and interesting, and the staff were friendly and relaxed. We had sushi and a few things off the food menu in the bar area; the scallops were my favourite and their signature cocktail, which packs a bit of a punch, is... More

Nobu is one of my very favourite Melbourne restaurants. There are so many wonderful dishes that make your mouth water. Black miso cod and the yellowtail sashimi are fantastic but really there is not much that us not exceptional. The food is expensive but as is the case in most top quality restaurants, it's the wine that gets you!. Service... More
