One of my favourite lunch spots. Be there by 12:15 or you'll struggle to get a seat until about 1pm. The take away is just as tasty. Don Don deliver a really good meal for $8-$10. Best value is the don don bento box Simplicity is the key - aside from the occasional special the menu does not change.

I don't have a good sense of direction so I spent long time to find this restaurant. But it is worth it!!!! It is more like fast food restaurant. Need to order and pay at the account. The food was really cheap and with good quality and quantity. Don Don box was nice!! Beef noodle was nice!! Curry Chicken Rice... More

Don Don Japanese is located in a small street where the building is not that noticeable. It is a convenient place to stop for a quick Japanese meal as they have an assortment of Bento boxes and udon selections. They are only open for lunch M- F from 11a.m.- 3:30p.m. I had the udon beef order 7.70 and it was... More

It's a no-frill eating place, but the superb food was delivered in seconds over the counter and the generous portion means you wouldn't go hungry for a while. The price was very reasonable. We had salmon sashimi on rice, it was very delicious. The bento box was excellent too: beef yakiniku, chicken teriyaki, salad, tofu, and fruits.

I fall in love with Don Don since I knew it. I visit it many times every month if I am in the city. You can ask more curry if you order curry dish with NO extra cost. However it could be too salty!! It's always busy but you can also have it take away. It only takes you about... More

Tasty food that's with its own twist and generous portion at unbelievable cheap prices! It's so good that I returned for a second within the business trip. No frill counter service and basic stylish canteen for sit down. But if you need good cheap fast, that's the place!

I used to meet up here at least once a week by a mate when we were just students. Eating out was, is, cheaper than cooking at home. The bento box is a favourite but the katsu don is especially well made. The draw for me was that they also used to sell A&W Root beer. The pickled ginger they... More

Very good food, served in seconds, super cheap! They would probably get in the Guiness Record book for the quickest service ever if they accepted Paypass!

We're working our way through the menu, so far all have been delicious! This place is for those who don't deal with being hungry as it's made super quick. The restaurant itself is basic and the toilets have a public toilet feel. But if you can get past that the food is good :)

Faster than you can say "two all beef patties and a…..", your meal is ready. The 'scottish' restaurant also copies Don Don in that you place your order at the left side of the counter and then have to move over to the right side to collect it (as another reviewer has stated in a somewhat comical Seinfeld "Soup Nazi"...
