Consistently Good

I had a fabulous lunch here yesterday with my sister. It's been a while since I last ate at Chocolate Buddha and I think it is even better than before. Good selection of interesting Japanese style food. The staff were excellent - courteous and helpful. The food was fresh and beautifully presented... read more

Great range of gluten free food which is great for coeliacs. The dumplings we delicious, the prices were reasonable and all in a handy location. The atmosphere was light and airy. Would definitely be a frequent visitor if I lived in Melbourne.

Our first time visiting chocolate Buddha was amazing, could not fault the service or food. The waitress was extremely helpful, we had not had Japanese before and she assisted us with everything.

Had heard great things about this restaurant and it did not disappoint. Located on Federation Square, the people watching could not be better and the sweeping, open vista was wonderful. The food was exquisite, fresh, and perfectly described. The staff (Hi Paolo!) and management (Hi Ezra!) became instant friends. I dined alone on my first visit and felt welcomed and... More

Once I realised this wasn't a chocaholic's venue, I celebrated my good friend's birthday with lunch. Delicious soups! Delicate yet tasty. Calm service. Will DEFINITELY go again!!

Thought we'd try Gazi but couldn't get in....ended up across the street (no thanks to the staff at Gazi who were not helpful) at Federation Square and the Chocolate Buddha. It was delicious and great service.

I ate at Chocolate Buddha yesterday 19/7/15 and I was very impressed with firstly the cleanliness, beautiful staff, fantastic Gluten Free Menu with great options and very delicious food. As I have Coeliac Disease it is very hard to eat out without cross-contamination worries and becoming very ill afterwards. I explained to the Waitress the importance of this and she... More

Simply a fun place to eat. Everything on the menu just sounds great so my group decided to try just too many things. The appetizers were great, even the soup. Best part was the sushi, all of them tasted fresh and such a wide variety to try. I never had so much sushi in my life and all so satisfying.... More
