We met friends here for dinner and found that the food was fine but the servings were quite small. We had buddha dumplings, shake teriyaki salmon which was an incredibly small serving, vegetable curry, pok belly again very small serving and spicy pork which was somewhat soup like. Pleasant flavours but we all felt like having another meal somewhere else.... More

Dear Reviewer Thank-you for providing us with valuable feedback. It seems that the dishes you selected on the night (except for vegetable curry) were from the section Zensia / Izakaya - small dishes great to share or as a starter. We have other sections provide much more substantial meals in particularly the Donburi and Ramen section. The restaurant does become... More

The three of us were hungry. It was a nice day in Federation square. This restaurant was easy going, the food is a sort of mix between Japanese/Communal seating and sharing meets Western Coffee in Martini glasses. Nice casual atmosphere, but the food was awesome. Fresh flavours, crisp, clean palate tastes. Really moreish and excellent presentation. Definitely will go back... More

My husband & I have been dining here couple of times, food is always good, well priced & service is quick. We were so impressed with one of the waiter, Hiro. He was so friendly, helping us choosing sake (my second sake ever), talk through the menu to us. He just excellent.

We took the kids here on Friday night for something different to where we'd normally take them. The waitresses were wonderful - extremely friendly and didn't mind explaining some of the menu items to the kids. Great food and service. Can't wait to come back here again.

From the moment we walked in out of the rain we felt welcome. Wet jackets taken and quickly seated. The food was great along with the quick and attentive friendly service.

It's not often that you get to eat good Japanese food with great sake - daiginjo no less. The initial reason for choosing this place was that it had a good gluten free selection. Non gluten free food was excellent also. Bento boxes are good. Rice dishes (donburi) both beef and teriyaki chicken delicious. Dessert was excellent (green tea ice... More

After hearing about this restaurant some friends and I decided to meet for dinner. I ordered a $20 vegetarian lunch Tray which included a few items. It had a bowl of brown rice, green curry, a small plate of salads, cucumber and avocado sushi and a bowl of miso tofu soup. Very good fusion of classic Japanese with new styles and ingredients. Complimented by well chosen list of sakes. The soft shell crab was a standout!
