Absolutely amazing, the food was exactly what we were expecting. Neither of us eat red meat or pork and the waiter without question arrange this to be excluded from the degustation menu. Absolutely amazing, the food was exactly what we were expecting. Neither of us eat red meat or pork and the waiter without question arrange this to be excluded from the degustation menu. This was a eye opener for the great view of Melbourne and the Che if's dedication for food excellence, all the food that passed my lips was the best, not being a sea food person and being game, i tried different dishes of seafood and now loving it, all in the preparation and cooking , highly recommend to all.

If I could rate 10 out of 5, I would. Absolutely brilliant. On the expensive side but is a must to try! We had the degustation with matching wines. What an extraordinary interactive experience. Our waiter, Michael was knowledgeable, friendly and fun. Food is outstanding, we were blown away! We left the restaurant full, happy and drunk :). Service is... More

I booked four months in advance for a 'Chef's Table' for a group of six on a Saturday night. Previously I had dined at the old location some years ago, on the ground level elsewhere in Melbourne. The new location on level 55 is stunning. The ten-course degustation was amazing, if a little long - the dinner took six hours.... More

Having booked over three months in advance for my partner's birthday/anniversary dinner I had high expectations and was counting down the days until our reservation. The night of the reservation came and the delay for the elevator should have been taken as a sign of things to come. After finally getting to level 55, we were asked to take a... More

From the moment you arrive at the rialto your experience is beautiful. The location at the 55th floor provides a truly amazing and relaxed vibe and atmosphere with stunning views of Melbourne. You are taken into the restaurant where all the waiting staff are extremely polite, alert and very well trained. We did not realise when the staff began to... More

This place is exceptional! I've been wanting to come for years & finally decided that i would take my husband for his 40th birthday. We had pre dinner drinks at the lui bar-some amazing views & a really nice ambience. When our table was ready we were moved to the restaurant. Our table was right in front of the kitchen... More

A well constructed degustation. Flawless service and gorgeous setting. Breakfast takeaway bag for the ladies to continue the experience. You get the choice of how many courses you would like from the outset depending how hungry you are, although it is still a surprise as they arrive. A thoughtful email the next day to remind you exactly what each serve... More

At 55 Floors up, it's hard not to be impressed. The gastronomy & staff were all outstanding, from the time you meet the concierge on the ground floor until you leave the building. Nothing is missed! Well done Vue de Monde. Another "MUST GO" experience.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
