Yum, yum, yum!

The Lincoln must be one of the most underrated eating places in Melbourne. We never seem to have much difficulty getting in, but the food is amazing. This place is not about traditional pub food even if the decor is pub style. The food is more along the lines of tapas style share plates. We had an interesting selection. The spanner crab with corn cakes was lovely as were the edamame beans and triple cooked chips which were very addictive. The truffled egg kalette and cauliflower was... More

this is my local so very dangerous as it is the sort of pub you can go to alone and drink at the bar without feeling weird. There are a million beers on top but it is the food that seems to be attracting people. Spanishy tapas food sort of…good for sharing but you can eat as a solo diner... More

We pop in here for special occasions, but it need not be for a special occasion. Everything will be amazing from the moment you step inside this very Melbourne experience. A wonderful Melbourne welcome and assistance immediately - the staff are amazing and just perfect - very special attributes - they are so attune and intune and really look after... More

We went here for dinner with friends and found the food fantastic and plenty of it but it was very expensive for a pub meal. There were lots of gourmet, exotic meals as well as pub staples like steaks and bar meals at the main bar. We were in the restaurant. Although it was a bit rich for our tastes... More

I did not get around to eating in the Lincoln but the menu certainly seemed attractive enough. Therefore I am reviewing as a pub/bar and I can truly say I am very glad I found it.They have a wide range of beers and wines and I was quite taken aback at the lengths staff would go to match the inquisitive drinker... I wrote a review of this place a while back which was less than flattering. However! A change of owners has seen The Lincoln blossom into the perfect neighbourhood bar. The food menu is small but well thought out and each dish of the highest quality. They have combined the atmosphere of a friendly local with top notch food. Staff... More

The concept is a little strange. On one hand there is the food. Much of it is served in quite small tapas-like servings. The ingredients are of good quality, the compositions are not just standard and it tastes quite good. In the other hand the setting is a normal pub. The whole thing is quite loud, music is playing and... More

Followed a recommendation to "give the Lincoln a try". Pleased we did... Not your average pub and better than most "Gastro-pubs". Excellent range of small, medium and larger plates to share and we found the choice difficult and what we chose was delicious. From the tiny, exquisite crab on corn cracker through to the pork belly and triple cooked chips.... More

Went for a few drinks with friends, ended up staying the entire night. The food is excellent. The croquettes are an absolute must. There was an excellent drinks list with quite a few great craft beers, and some lovely wines.
