On route to theatre & as a solo diner, I could only eat at the bar. However, the menu is innovative & successfully realised, the wine by the glass is well selected & it's fun to perch there & listen to the rising tones of large tables having a great time with Longrain's exciting offerings.

Wonderful experience at the restaurant. My friend and I did not make any reservation on the day. Luckily, the waitress was so helpful and squeezed two seats for us. We like the interior decoration, food presentation, we like the prawn -- yummy!

Cant put my finger on it but it just doesnt match the Sydney version...atmosphere is different, service not as good and my fave cocktail was missing from the list. Food still great but nect time will try somewhere else when in Melbourne and save Longrain for Sydney

We were so lucky to have Kitti look after us. His knowledge of the menu meant that we could be guided through the menu by a confident and knowledgable person. We shared 3 dishes and a lovely bottle of Riesling, having had a champers and a beer to start. A must-go-to place to eat!!!

Visited Longrain following a recommendation. Certainly a different take on Thai cuisine but the food was superb. The combination of flavours was just incredible. Best I've had recently. If you are looking for mainstream SE Asian cuisine this may not be for you and it is more expensive too. Would certainly go back again if Melbourne.

It's been sometime since I've been to Longrain but my memories were great. We were seated straight away and from start to finish everything was excellent. Our friendly waitress gave us some great menu tips which included a de constructed snapper dish which was simply divine. The tuna sashimi was also superb. Our dessert didn't arrive but after a brief,... More

We didnt have a booking however the staff suggested a fantastic cocktail whilst we waited (like 10mins) and then taken to our table. The food was just so yummy and the whole fish presentation was amazing! The staff were terrific with a relaxed but courteous and efficient manner....and finally the bill was very reasonable!

A group of 9 went to this restaurant where we were seated at quite a large round table with a built in lazy susan. We ordered a variety of main and rice dishes including the tie fried pork belly with mussels, caramelised pork hock, twice cooked chicken and slow braised beef cheeks. Each dish was excellent, very tasty and not... More

There are restrictions on bookings. There were four of us and we could not book. We dined early and there was no waiting. We were seated at a long table with 2/3 other groups. Don't be put off by this. We were not interfered with by the other groups and nor did we interfere with them (I hope). Our waitress... More

I have been to Longrain twice now and it is by far the best food that I have ever had. I am not sure what they do; however, this food is simply amazing and there is nothing else like it. If you want a taste of heaven, then you must go to Longrain as this will be something that you... More
