Probably one of the best exponents of taking fresh produce and creating intrigue and complexity without losing the core texture and flavours of the ingredients. Great service although they were a bit miffed my colleague from Vietnam wanted extra chilli. Suggest go with at least 3 to 4 people to experience the range

This is my 5th or 6th time at Coda over the last 5 or so years and it never disappoints. We managed to get a table before a comedy show without a booking, and enjoyed a delicious meal of rice paper rolls, spanner crab, prawns on betels leaves, those yummy lamb cutlets and a fabulous duck curry that sang on... This is a quite popular and trendy restaurant so make reservations should be made well in advance. The service is pleasant and timely. It is located in a basement so the view out is of people walking along the street above. It is very busy, quite energetic and a little noisy. We had three different starters and mains with the... Perfect sharing menu, especially for those, like me, with some severe dietary restrictions. The "go-to" dish was the tempura bugs. So delicately fried, and with a sauce that complemented the bug to perfection. Also loved the raw tuna salad. Good sommelier, who understood the piquant difference of an Alsace riesling, and petits four to finish - what is not to... More

The staff, food and service at Coda are amazing, we let the sommelier (Steve) choose the wines for us and he choose some really interesting and delicious options that were priced well (ie. did not try to take advantage of the free rein). The food was superb as always and we also have some great recommendations from the staff on... More

As mentioned in other reviews, the menu is good for sharing. So I was a little concerned how it would work for a solo diner like me. Although there is not a tasting option for one, Tom was more than happy to recommend a series of dishes based my preferences. Needless to say, all of dishes were delicious. Standouts include... Divine food in a contemporary setting hidden in a tiny lane way five minutes walk from Federation Square. Prices are not for the faint hearted but well worth the experience. If you don't book you might find the only seating for dinner is at the bar, a fun experience in itself. Great service.
