What a fantastic hidden gem. Like most great Melbourne eateries you find Coda hidden up a lane. You enter into a dark, cosy environment where you are greeted by friendly staff. Fantastic food. Unique flavors and taste combinations that emphasize the innovative kitchen. Love the atmosphere and professional staff. Only blemish is the overpriced wine which makes the bill scary at the end of the evening if you and your party like a drink? I will go back again so basically suggesting to all that this lane-way den of culinary delights... More

Arrived late but managed to get a seat at the bar. Reasonably priced wine and ok wine list. Had 3 shared dishes but the stand out was the brisket...it was fantastic. First class service also.

We have dined here with a group before and been photo bombed by the staff. It seems to be their thing. At first you would think the service is quite nonchalant, but once you engage with them, it's superb. They all have a great understanding of the wine menu and recommended some fantastic wines. The table next to us were... More

We had a delicious meal; great flavours and beautifully presented. The service was also excellent. We had heard rave reviews and it didn't disappoint!

We had dinner at Coda last Friday, everything we ordered was delicious. The staff could not have been more helpful. Highly recommended.

I expected more from a $42 meal. The design is very Melbourne.. in fact, everything about this restaurant is very Melburnian. The walls are intentionally dilapidated with a poor paint job to make it look 'hip'. Around the lamps you have these mosquito nets that look as if they were taken from a concentration camp. The place is loud and... More

Lots of delicious tapas and great cocktails in a dark yet lively restaurant. Service was good, and the petit fours were superb!

Open kitchen. All the waiters look like Russel Brand . Excellent wine recommendation. The service was good , not outstanding but good ( again this is a hip place and they all look like Russel Brand so don't complain) . The food arrived immediately. The food was good : expect to share dishes , tapas style . Most delicious was... More

Four of us had dinner at Coda in July. All of us told our waiter we no issues with any foods and left it entirely to the kitchen to look after us. We had many courses like yellow fin tuna, steak tartare, buffalo mozzarella, blackened quail, hervey bay scallops, lamb cutlet and crispy prawn. All the food was very very... More
