The food here is unimaginative: For example, the caesar salad is just lettuce leaves drowned in mayonnaise with two slices of prosciutto, and croutons on top. Long waiting times: My most recent wait time was 30 minutes, and there was only one other occupied table in the cafe. I've never waited less than 20 minutes. Simple dishes should not take... More

Great for tasty meals with a bit of a twist. The service can be a little slow however the food is great.

Tin Pot is perfect for a lazy all day breakfast at weekends. It's on the corner of Scotchmer St and St Georges Rd, the 112 tram stops right outside. It is very North Fitzroy with quirky art and furniture. There's great coffee and juices, plus eggs benedict or Florentine, or you can go the whole hog and have the big... More

I've eaten here for brekkie, lunch and dinner and have always been satisfied! The menu is reasonably comprehensive for any time of the day, and the ambience is very relaxed (and is child friendly). Sometimes the small tables for two aren't large enough if you have two plates and condiments and tea pots filling the area, but it just adds... More

Classic Melbourne café: retro furniture, relaxed atmosphere, range of good light meals or cakes. Central location to meet friends for a catch up. Don't miss the opportunity to get some groceries from the fantastic supermarket opposite!

Dom and Lydio, brothers, are always welcoming and the staff include some helpful regulars, with a fair through-flow of waiting staff. The cafe has been going a long time - it's shabby but chic. The food is generally excellent and well served-brekkies, lunches, and a few experimental dishes. Coffee, excellent, well up to Melbourne standards. I go here every week. The... More

Overall a really relaxed experience. Went for breakfast. A nice cozy cafe, the staff were really friendly, the service was spot on, the coffee was great and didnt have to wait too long for our food to come out. A great place to have a relaxed bit to eat.

Tin Pot is what I consider a terrific local cafe to be. It's within walking distance of my house, it's large enough to fit lots of cafe-goers, and small enough to be cosy. They has a big shared table and lots of smaller tables, and the decor is Inner-Northside-Shabby-Vintage with interesting art on the walls. Although lunch and dinner or... More
