Too Noisy

I can never work out whether music in restaurants is there for the enjoyment of the staff or the diners. It certainly wasn't what we wanted - too loud. Made conversation difficult and conversing with staff a strain. But we were a table of "boomers" - maybe you have to be a hipster to enjoy loud... read more

We booked for dinner, busy friday night, great service from the front door to our table despite the place being absolutely full. Despite this, the staff made time to be very welcoming, the run down of the menus although we had been before our guests hadn't, was very efficient and professional. The must do's are the Sesame Scorched Oysters, Candied... More

Disappointed is saying it mildly. Service awful - we had to hail a waitress to have a look at the menu. Waited for about a hour between entre and mains with no explanation. Had to call waitress for drinks and then they were quite rude. No comparison to the Original Taxi.. Don't be fooled by reputation and ratings. We certainly... More

Started off with a couple of beers in the rooftop bar upstairs. Then moved on down to Taxi where the friendly waitresses. The three of us shared dishes of beautiful food beautifully served.Helped by some very nice wine. The place buzzes, you can see the wonderful chefs at their work, and what has to be one of the best views in Melbourne.Finished by... More

Amazing food .... Never been disappointed .... Every single time we've been there the food has been the best and a great wine list ... They need to work on their cocktails but the food makes up for it !!!!

Pretheatre booking .Drink orders taken immediately. Ordered a daily special of steamed whole grouper and Asian greens. Waited for 45 minutes in a half empty space resplendent of great views and headache inducing synthetic sounds called music? The grouper sat in a puddle of gingery sauce ,the skin soft and gelatonous and the flesh tasteless and hard as a rock.... More

Thank you for the feedback on your experience from Monday night. We are constantly working on our music selection with our music programmer. We believe our music should be back ground to the views and the food. We would also like to take this opportunity to correct the comment of "frozen fish", we have a great relationship with our fish... More

Came for an early dinner, staff were very accommodating even though we before opening time. Meals were well presented and mostly very tasty, a few points, they doused my salad with very hot chilli oil, (and i like chilli) which was not written on the menu, however they were very quick on replacing with the chilli oil on the side,... We walked into this fine establishment at 8.15pm on a Friday night without a reservation to a virtually full house and were greeted by an exceptional staff member who asked us to be patient while he found an available seat for us. He did within a minute or two and we were placed alongside the windows overlooking the Yarra and... More

Amazing food, we had the pre theater three course meal we were amazed how great the food looked and tasted. We eat out a lot in the cbd and this resturant did certainly exceed our expectations, the view was lovely and the staff were all very helpful. We will certainly go back there again soon. We both can not wait.

Overlooking the Yarra and Arts Precinct, servicing food are outstanding with an Asian fusion twist. Late lunch timing will get a great table!
