20 years ago this was one of Melbourne best kept secrets. It was famed as the late night place where all the Chinatown waiters go to get top food at waiting staff affordability. Not any more. These days its a hang out for the beef and black bean brigade who have become tolerant of bad service and rude staff. The... More

The decor is terrible - dark and dingy and totally outdated. The service was terrible, staff were not even interested in coming over to take our order. The food was quite nice, but we could not drink the wine, it was like vinegar. Definately don't go here for a romantic night out.

Someone actually recommended this place to me, which I cannot believe. I went with a girl I am seeing and was actually embarrassed I took her there. I should have gone with my gut from the moment I walked in. The place looks terrible, there is no fresh air, a few tables are pushed against exits and entrances. The food... More

I do not recommend this "so called" Chinese restaurant that all local Chinese chefs go after work. I think this restaurant is not good standard Chinese restaurant. Either the chef has a off day or I am particular dissatisfied with the dishes I ordered; combination noodle, suckling pig, beef fillet in special Chinese sauce, crispy skin chicken and green vegetable.... Cheap, busy, authentic. Everything a good Chinese restaurant should be. No frills decor, tucked into a back alley up steep stairs, often with a queue spilling out the door. Avoid the queue by being early or very late in the evening, but worth the wait regardless.

I've been visiting this establishment when in Melbourne for many many years. There is no pretense and I don't think they take bookings. They're very popular but you have to be told about the location or you'll never find it! All dishes are fresh and very pleasing. We tried the sea scallops stuffed with minced prawn meat and were in... More

We stopped by this restaurant for a quick meal and found all our selections arrived quickly and they were all fresh and very very tasty. Not the ambience for a leisurely romantic dinner but great for a fast uncomplicated meal. Definitely will go again.

Rundown restaurant: staff unattentive(forgot tea and soup). We had steamed scallops(so small and sauce not impressive. Go visit ChinaSea Brisbane for best scallops cooked in the right way. Roast suckling pig was cold and skin was crispy-average and the greens with mushrooms unimpressive. No Asians dining, another indication of lousy food. There are better ones in Chinatown.

3 people, 3 dishes plus rice, one soft drink - $93. This place was recommended by locals, who came with me. They admitted it wasn't good on the night we were there. Crowded, hot and food wasn't anything to rave about.

I viewed this restaurant on Tripadvisor and Urbanspoon before getting in, and people said that it is cheap and good. However, this place is not for cheap eat at all as each person required to ORDER MINIMUM 20$ PER PERSON I am not sure for any other dishes in the restaurant, but we ordered stir fired beansprout with roasted duck,...
