Great suckling pig made to feel really welcome. The girl who waited on our table was lovely and made a real fuss over us. Will return.

I am from sydney and I heard they have good food there, so I went there with my 5 other friend all of us from Sydney, when we sit down we were told that Our table time limit is 90mins, and we have to leave in 90 mins, which is ok, but 2 of us wasn't that hungry, but we... More

Six of us rocked up unannounced at 5.30pm in the hope we were able to have a meal. We were immediately given a table and welcomed even though they were booked out later. Had entrees and main meals and I must say we were all blown away. Everything was fantastic. The food came out fast and it was so good.... More

My husband had been here with some work colleagues a couple of months before so he took me here for a late evening 'snack'. We weren't overly hungry so only had stir fried veggies plus fried eggplant with beans and bean curd in spicy salt. It was quite good. Decor is pretty basic but we don't care as long as... More

I always have for abalone congee or seafood congee. I have try other dishes too, to me too oily and not taste not that great. Consider this is in Chinatown, you can find better place to eat but after 1AM, not really much choice available. The deco has not change for the last 15 years.

Quaint place, very enjoyable. Service prompt and polite. Food just lacked a little taste. Szechuan beef wasn't spicy enough and salt and pepper ribs weren't salty enough and lacked flavour. House special rice was good though. Overall a nice little spot which is helped by its oddness (decor, waiters uniforms etc) but food needs to be better for the slightly... More

I have been dining at the Supper Inn for well over ten years now, almost always with Melbourne friends who are regulars there. They know the owners and the waiters, so I am intrigued by the many comments about the unfriendly staff. That hasn't been my experience. It is true that the decor is a bit tired - that hasn't... Ate here with a few friends recently and found the experience to be OK. This is certainly a no frills restaurant and to be honest was a little on the expensive side for what we got - but the food we received (scallops, duck, suckling pig, chicken, mushrooms and some beef) were all great nd very palatable. I'd certainly eat... More

Rainy winter night is the perfect time to visit as it's cosy and warm. We had several delicious dishes and all agreed it was a great meal. Loved the calamari and the duck. Well priced, no frills, definitely worth a visit.

I never expected to experience this in Australia but we were turned away for ordering congee. We went forced to order a more expensive item. We just want some food after arriving from a long flight. The boss also added a few secret extra dollars on our bill. She also turned away singles wanting to dine. Guess its more inclined... More
