The veal saltimbocca was deliciously out of this world as was the home made tiramisu! The staff were excellent - very impressed with the young Italian female waitress serving our table. The restaurant had an olde worlde funky vibe. Would I dine here again when next in Melbourne? YES definitely!

I have walked past this restaurant on numerous occasions and am always surprised to see it well patronised. Perhaps I am picky or those dining there have different standards or are simply unaware. I have dined here twice - the first being of my own volition, the second being the selection of friends. On both occasions I found the food... More

While in Melbourne in August my daughter and I ate at the Spaghetti Tree on three occasions. The food was very good and value for the price paid. We were asked on two occasions if we were going to the theatre so our meal would be ready in time. The staff each night were very efficient and friendly. Would certainly... More

When I rang to book, the first question I was asked was "Am I going to the theatre?". This made for getting prompt service when we arrived. Great atmosphere and very pleasant, helpful staff. The meal was not served hot, which was disappointing, but it was very tasty (I had the cannelloni). Not too expensive. Well worth a visit, I... More

We wanted Italian and went here because a recommended restaurant nearby was closed as the result of a gas leak. Spaghetti Tree is very popular with people going to the theatre; indeed it was crowded. I had spaghetti bolognese; ok, but the sauce was quite dry. My partner's meal was equally good but not spectacular. Had a nice shiraz at... More

We went here a few years ago and thought we would revisit it at lunchtime. We were not disappointed, but neither were we wowed. The service and food were average. My pasta said there was a bit of heat, but there was far too much chilli and I can stand a lot of chilli. Hardly Italian! Will give it a... More

Friendly service, tasty meals at reasonable prices, interesting decor, large dining area, convenient location. If you like Italian food and 50's - 60's rock n roll era music and ephemera, then this place is for you.

I last went to the Spaghetti Tree 15 years ago and the only change is the menu which has been updated. I love the atmosphere with all the old memoribilia and prints covering the walls and the warm colours so peaceful, even in the busy times when it is a little manic. There is a wide choice on the menu... More
