Perfect Pre theatre dinner

We arrived at 7pm on a Friday before our theatre show that started in an hour and the place was packed, luckily they found us a table. Great vibe with the old decor & an older Italian gent playing a pianola ... I felt like I was in the godfather 😊 Had a pasta and it was delicious!! Highly... read more

I arrived towards 10pm on a Thursday night (26th March, 2015) having attended an earlier (7:30pm) Comedy Festival show and awaiting a second event after 11pm. What struck me, aside from all the other late diners, was the rich history on the walls. There was also the interesting photos of past patrons (including Bob & Dolly Dyer of 1950s radio... More

I went to this restaurant a little while back, but loved it! I love the atmosphere and the service is great. I can't wait to visit Melbourne again to eat at this place.

The restaurant has quite a large Italian menu, and as I was travelling solo I opted for the "spinach and ricotta cannelloni". They had good flavour although there could have been more spinach with the ricotta. The person that waited on my table was visiting from Poland, so we had a good conversation about his travels to date.

The food was very acceptable with the pricing good and the service was superb. We were in a hurry and the staff went out of their way to accomodate us . I hadn't been there for over twenty years but it was better than I remembered and I will not be leaving it that long before I return.

I am a regular customer at the Spaghetti Tree in Bourke Street, Melbourne. Sometimes I have dined solo, other times I have had as many as 60 guests dining with me. The staff are friendly and courteous and there are up to three menus to cater for different expectations both in cost and choice of food. Certainly, I have no... More

After a few people recommended this restaurant I had to give it a go. Always walked by but never went in. Nice atmosphere and friendly service. Meals were well portioned and tasty. More to the point the coffee is well made. Would recommend the Spaghetti Tree for anyone who is a lover of pasta. Will be back again when in... More

The location is very close to many theatres, entertainment venues and picture theatres, and as it had been recommended by others we gave it a go as we were attending an Eagles concert at the tennis centre. I arrived first and was taken to my table, I ordered a beer and bottle of water which arrived shortly after, my three... More

This is a large several-level restaurant near cinemas and theatres. It has old-fashioned brown decor and a conventional modified-Italian menu. It seems to be most liked by visitors to Melbourne and people who've come into the city from an outer suburb or regional centre to attend a concert or show. I guess they're not wanting anything risky, simply a predictable... More
