We had Yum Cha here yesterday (Saturday) as they have won Melbournes best dumpling. We waited around 10 minutes and were shuffled up in the lift to the second floor. It was extremely busy and there was a queue ... but was it worth the wait? Service was quite slow, we had to ask twice for our tea and in... More

I was just wondering why the numbers of Dimsims are three instead of four at other Chinese restaurant.

Food there is good. There is always a long queue during the weekend but worth it. I went to all the Shark Fin Resturants and they all good.

Well Dim Sum for Sunday brunch, and on recommendation Shark Fin House Little Bourke St was the venue, on arrival at about 11.15 there’s was already a queue waiting to sample this obviously popular place and as my son (Matt) and I were the only “Round Eyes” in the queue we believed we were in for a treat. Standard Yum-Cha Place that has been around for ages. The food is satisfactory and the service is ordinary, but overall it's worth a visit. Besides the yum-cha you can also go a la carte, with great Cantonese style dishes that feed a family.

The food is very nice and the price is average. However, you have to make a booking especially for more than 4 people.

We love going to shark fin house for a Hong Kong dim sum experience, a little taste of home. Delicious dumplings and always good value.

Booked a table for 10 for a weekday lunch and service was quick and efficient. As usual, delicious dumplings and lots of tea. One of the best in town.

This is a pretty busy restaurant in the middle of Chinatown. We went for a late lunch and the place was still crowded. The dimsum choices were quite predictable but good and tasty. We also ordered some dishes from the menu. The prawn dish was delicious but the more expensive abalone and shark fin dishes were underwhelming. The service was... More

Fresh tasty Tim sum . Especially the glutinous rice. Can get very crowded during lunch and weekends. Do make reservation.
