Good Yam Cha place with friends

Food and dumplings were fresh but price is slightly expensive. 3 pax cost us $90+ for yam cha. Nothing special about the restaurant itself.

Food was absolutely delightful and I had the best San Choy Bow I think I have ever tasted - also a stunning sizzling steak/honey dish. This would have to be my pick in China Town - it is more a lovely dine in restaurant (ie more formal) than a lot of the other restaurants in China Town, that are really... More

Family of six adults. Ordered a whole Peking Duck to start. Carved at table by an unfriendly member of staff. 12 duck pancakes made and served, which were good, and we asked for the rest of the duck to be left at the table. They insisted on returning the carcass to the kitchen to be carved. What was returned to... More

Went with 4 other friends this morning for Yum Cha, the service was slow and there was not much variety to choose from. The selections of alcohol was good however. The restaurant is very cramped and the windows need blinds to stop the sun blinding you!

Had relatives visiting from overseas and brought them to this restaurant in Chinatown for yum cha. This is an established restaurant in Melbourne which serves excellent dim sum. Food was great as usual (only once where the food was not as great - maybe it was the chef's day off). Service has improved from years ago although ordered one dish... More

This restaurant is the one at Little Bourke Street (there is another one called Shark Fin Inn which is adjacent to Rydges hotel and serves more family dishes). Came to taste the lobster noodles after hearing about it from some colleagues. Most of the staff spoke Cantonese and I felt that they were quite impatient (and looked snobbish too) while... More

We had booked for 10 people for lunch but had unexpected additions. The staff grumbled a bit but was able to seat us together. The food was classic dim sum dishes. Most were tasty except I felt the vegetable dish was overcooked. Service was as expected in a dim sum place. A mixture of being patient and knowing when to... More
