After a 5 year hiatus we decided to venture back... time and money wasted. The same taste of sweetened Heinz tomato flavoured puree dominates their sauces. Not for people with sophisticated or even semi cultured Indian palates. Very basic indeed. We decided to try a 'blackboard' special thinking it would be from a region of India - not to be... More

Went here in aug 2012. Although a bit out the way of our accommodation in Melbourne city itself by tram. We had a booking for bout 7-8pm & found out afterwards it to be a long walk back to find a tram as most had stopped going out this way that time of night. But in regards to food, for... More

Satguru's has been in Bulleen for many, many years. I haven't dined there for a long time but still buy takeaway occasionally (when I get a craving). The 2 things I buy are samosas (both meat and vege are delicious with a very crispy pastry - vege cheaper than meat. The samosas are a good size - probably about the... More

Problems with our reservation marred an otherwise good experience. We were pleasantly surprised by the fact that the meals ordered appeared to be individually prepared, instead of various meat options being dropped into an otherwise ubiquitous gravy. The food is good. Unfortunately, we were a little late arriving, due to traffic, and I called the restaurant to inform them. I... More

Not a great fan of curries and other Indian flavours, I can always be sure of a great meal at satguru's thanks to their beautiful tandoori chicken! Flavourful, but not overly spicy, it suits my palate without overpowering it. My daughter, a picky eater, loves the spices in the mango chicken, and no meal is complete without a few serves... More

We always eat or take-away from Satguru's. It is an amazing restaurant where you can get one of the best Indian Foods. Nirmal, who run the restaurant is very friendly and a great host. And the hidden secret of this restaurant is the Indian Pizza that they make. It is truly a unique taste. You get variety like Bombay Pizza,... More

It's an unpretentious outfit at Satgurus. It was very busy on a cold weeknight. There's nothing to remember about the interior design. It's hard to forget the Bollywood movie showing all night. But hey - the food is beautiful and the service is friendly and fast. Loved the chicken butter cream and the pakoras.

Great Indian. Quick and easy to order and take home OR sit and enjoy while watching Bollywood films. Great atmosphere.

Great food for the prices. Very casual but usually quite busy. The pizzas are insane but good if you want takeaway with a difference.
