A great place for breakfast in Richmond.

Have been going to the Richmond Larder for a few years when visiting Melbourne. Although it gas changed hands we still find the food and service to be good. The pancakes are delicious as well as the poached eggs with bacon, tomato and mushrooms. What is it about sitting next to a window in a cafe? It's just cosy and often more .... personal space. We asked for the one remaining window seat at Richmond Hill, " Sorry it's reserved" . Fair enough. Well 10 minutes later the same waitress says"Would you like a window seat?" I nearly fell off my chai latte! You... More

After an absence (interstate) of several years, we were delighted to find that the standards hadn't slipped - despite a couple of changes of ownership. Our family group enjoyed a wonderful lunch, with very good food and wines. The friendly, efficient staff also did a great job. Finally, we had to pay an obligatory visit to the cheese room -... I went to lunch there this week with a friend, it was once our favourite place. It is obviously under new management. The menu was disappointing, it being summertime, we expected the usual lovely cool salads.Alas, choice was very limited, so we settled for Fish and Chips, both good but not a scrap of salad, thankfully it was served with... Every trip to Melbourne is not complete unless we visit Richmond Hill Larder for either breakfast or lunch. Their breakfasts are modern and have subtle flavours that bring out the best in the fresh produce - corn fritters - YUM!! Love their charcouterie boards using their cheeses from the larder and freshly sliced meats. The salads for lunch are amazing!!!

Had a wonderful lunch, homemade hamburger and great coffee. I wouldn't hesitate in going back or recommending the place. If you can get a seat outside all the better!

Love excellent service, impeccable food every time and honestly best coffee ever! I love how you can book on weekends Forget all the hipster Melbourne cafe, this is by far my favourite weekend brunch/lunch spot Must try: Baghdad eggs, cheesy toast and prawn salad!

We used to come here regularly. The traffic has made the trip from Bayside a fifty minute ordeal. The cues were gone ,as were the fast and stroppy waiters. The toasted breads with the charcuterie board were ok. Cornichons, chutneys ,olives straight out of bottles. Cold cuts of the Woolworths Supermarket variety. Alas their liver parfait bloody and cream whipped with... More

The ambience is wonderful. The cheese offer is outstanding. The Charcuterie board is lovely as is the fish. The vegetarian offer leaves a bit to be desired but is adequate. It's a really nice place to be.

I visit this busy Bridge Road institution most of me trips to melbourne from Sydney and this was no exception. We arrived about 11am to meet old friends we hadn't seen for many years and our booking placed us near the front window with plenty of room and comfortable seating. The service was friendly and regular and the menu had... More
