Great food but noisy

Always great food at Pelagos. Very wholesome whether meat or fish. We always enjoy the food. The service was a little on the slow side as our friends (they were looking at holding a birthday function) waited an hour. When there are big groups present in either the front or back the noise is a bit... read more

Took the family to Pelagos Hampton for Mothers Day lunch yesterday - 7 adults + baby in pram. Crowded and noisy, but all part of the atmosphere. Excellent service from our two young waitresses and the food was very good. Good size portions, cooked to perfection and the kitchen was able to produce the courses in a timely manner. Our... More

This is a semi regular catch up for a few guys. We bring the red wine, the tavern supplies the food. It is not fine dining, but as the Greek in our group tells us, it is fine food. Don't go for the decor, sparking service or that hipster north of the river experience. Go for the seriously great food,... More

My family (from 4 yo to 90yo) wanted a night out to share a great meal with minimum fuss. Pelagos was Perfect ! The waitress/owner made suggestions and we left what and how much to her. As the tapas started to flow, mopped up with the fragrant pita breads, we got more and more excited.. Best Taramasalata ever- the Whitebait... More

My first visit here, quite simply because our dining options in Hampton St are so varied. Jenny looked after my group of six exceptionally well. A Greek beer, Greek red wine, superb dips for entree and a huge shared meat platter for a sub-group of we three. Flavoursome sausages, rissoles, kebabs, and shaved lamb absolutely filled us with Greek food.... More

Not a very complicated menu but very good. Like the char grilled octopus. Have a nice drinks list and reasonably priced.

I came with a party of 15 and as soon as we walked into the restaurant I knew something was wrong as we were squashed into the back corner of the restaurant. There were 4 different waitresses that kept coming to serve us for drinks as well. One waitress is enough we don't need that many people coming to our... More

The food at this restaurant was delicious! We had a banquet and the only problem was we were so full, and still more food kept coming, and it was all so nice, we could not resist. The service was good, and a lively atmosphere made for a fun and happy night. I would recommend it!
