As a group of 11 people, we only decided to eat here because of the name of the place - but it soon turned into one of the best decisions of the trip (so much so, we spent two of our six nights there). The atmosphere was fantastic, live entertainment, great staff and reassuring bouncers outside. Food is well priced... More

Firstly - the restaurant itself may be a little hard to find. It is inside a mall-like area at Southbank, under the escalators. As for the food, very nice selection, well priced and delicious. I got the calamari entree and Beef and Guinness steak pie for main - YUMMY ! Atmosphere was lovely - HUGE TABLES so plenty of room,... More

There's a shortage of them around Melbourne, some good beers and the fodo is decent as well. Live entertainment was also good.

A great atmosphere. Love to sit in the window nook. Friendly staff. Try the cheese platter and fat chips. Perfect with Guiness.

Walked into this place whilst visiting the mall area in Melbourne. Had to try it. It was in the evening/after dark and they had just begun to play live music inside. There was a good crowd here and greet staff outside of the pub which gave it an even more legitimate standing. Great atmosphere and great place to strike up... More

The live music is great and adds to the atmosphere. I ordered the Chicken Parma and was really happy with my meal. My friend ordered the fish and chips and was also very happy. Overall this is a great pub!

We had two meals here on different nights. The first was Beef & Guinness pie and was fabulous. The second was a couple of days later when my husband chose Irish stew, which was superb, but my calamari was very average. It was tender, but tasteless. Overall a really good place to eat, but maybe stick to dishes that an... More

Be there for bad penguins and their guests... Amazing music and atmosphere ... Food just about gets by .... Steak sandwich should not be ordered by anyone!!!! It is a tiny slice if beef between bread!! Staff could be nicer and more efficient but most of them try their best

Hungry at 5.30, I was too early for the restaurant opening at 6pm, so I popped into the Bar section, into a cosy booth & sat down with a lovely beer & the paper. I'd ordered beer battered Chips & Crispy Fried Calamari, served with roquette salad & Caper Mayonnaise. Both were amazing. The gorgeous, light, calamari melted in the... More
