It has been three years since we last ate here, and everything was just as we remember ......excellent! Presentation of each dish was outstanding, and tasted delicious. Gyoza was delicate and light, crab easy to eat and moorish. We chose a WA wine to accompany the meal, also great. It is BYO with a $7.50 corkage, which we will do... More

Celebrated my friend's birthday at Ocha. The place had a very modern feel and cosy. The waitress was very helpful with our order. I had the tempura zucchini flowers & yakisoba which was both very delicious. My friend had the fried prawn dumpling and waghu beef. Both looked amazing but costs a bit more than other Japanese Restaurants I have... More

If you want an evening dining on the highest quality Modern Japanese cuisine, Ocha is for you! Everything about Ocha is first class ..... service, decor, creative menu selection, wine and drinks list, did I mention the service? But the outstanding thing by far is the taste explosion that happens in your mouth with every morsel from your plate! Ocha... More

Wow. Just wow. Sushi and sashimi of excellent quality. Small, delicious, gourmand starters. A good tofu served with a flavourful soy sauce. A great taste of unagi tempura, and zucchini flowers stuffed in tempura. Delicious. All with a beautifully cold Asahi beer. Finally, a sweet fruit-tart with fresh mint leaves and cream - just Japanese quality. Truly remarkable. Seldom you... More

Delicious food. Great entree platter for two was the best. Lots of small dishes and offerings that were all tasty and different. Beef was very tender with lovely sauces. This place remains one of the very best in the east and is a top performer.

The staff set up a custom banquet style menu to suit our price range and were very knowledgeable about each meal. The food was excellent, i was very impressed. I would highly recommend this restaurant for couples and small diner parties. The only problem is that the tables are very close, so you feel a little claustrophobic.

We visited Ocha with a large group. Depsite having ordered in advance and being a little pressed for time, we were quite surprised that the service was very slow and that after several courses, the service suddenly ceased. After waiting for some time, we were informed that the chef had finished so that was it! Not great given that Ocha... More

Ocha ain't cheap but the food and service is first class. We go to this fascinating Japanese restaurant for special occasions and recently went for my birthday with friends who were new to the restaurant. I took the precaution to ask another friend for a list of things to order and how to pronounce them. I was able to carry... More

Well prepared, well cooked and presented. We went with Melbourne friends, as it was their "regular" I let my friend do the ordering and we particularly enjoyed the beef carpaccio and the squid. It is BYO as well as licenced. Reliable Japanese well worthy of a visit
