She sounded like a bully. Reservations taken only for parties of five or more, and we had better be there by 6.00 at the latest. We got there at 5.55 and there was a long queue waiting for the doors to open- an amiable and somewhat hippy crowd, who surged in on the stroke of 6.00 and quickly packed... read more

The day you want to have your dinner at the Moroccan Soup Bar you should not eat any breakfast or lunch because otherwise you won't be able to try, taste and savour all the different soups, vegetables, herbs, spices, flavours, breads, pies, cakes, sweets, drinks, coffees and teas that come with your 29 $ five course/five star menue. Make sure that you... More

I have had many take away food experiences with this business over the past 2 years. However on my last visit they got it wrong. On taking the order they go to the trouble of asking if there are any food allergies... pretty simple, but it CAN go wrong, and IT DID! I have an allergic reaction to capscicum...severe stomach... Pre booked a table for 8 people tonight for a catch up with overseas friends. We ordered the standard banquet at $23pp. Huge servings and lots of variety. Dip platters, 8 mains, desserts, teas and coffee. Each and every dish was full of flavour and absolutely delicious. Will be back again. Highly recommended A++++

Walked in thinking I am in hipster land. Had no idea what to pick on the menu, don't worry waitress will chose a selection for you and you will be satisfied! Honestly say it's been a better meal than most inner city hub at a very good price. Do yourself a favour and go there.

I have been to moroccan soup bar for many times. I usually take the banquet so I can have a bit of everything. You should go there while you're hungry. The service is very good the prices are good. Its one of a kind place and I would recommend it to everyone.

The Moroccan Soup Bar is great: lots of atmosphere and, well, lots of enthusiastic diners, too. So, tip # 1 is to arrive early. There is not much in the way of a formal menu but I dined here with some Soup Bar regulars who assured me only way to go is with the banquet of three courses, which at... More

This place is always a delight to come to. The soups are great, but I always find the banquets are better to go for: more variety and better value. Plus you get Moroccan Soup Bar's chickpea bake, my absolute favourite dish here. Everything's good here, though, so it's hard to go wrong whatever you order. Make sure you arrive either... More

Went here recently after quite an absence. I was delighted that nothing had changed! $22 for a very large banquet... The chickpea bake was still as delicious as I remembered and my friends (who had never been) loved it all! We are all meat eaters but were completely satisfied and full from the vegetarian fare. Tip, need to be there... More

This is a Melbourne classic. Great place (although I can see it may take some getting used to). You must arrive early to get a table, usually have to leave your name and they'll give you a time to come back. (Heaps of lovely bars around to have a drink while you wait.) The banquet (which I think has just... More
