I haven't been to Miss Marples for such a long time as the first time we went the food was very disappointing and each time we visit the hills there is a queue a mile long outside. But a crime fan friend of mine visited and I just had to take her to this quirky little tea room. What a... More

The tea house decoration is inspired by Miss Marple character from English novel by Agatha Christie. There's a collection of teapots on display in the restaurant. Menu haven't changed much over these years. The finger bites are nice. Shepherd pie is good but no side salad, so that's a minus. There is no reservation so you need to put your... More

Whilst on a visit to the "Dandenongs" we came across Miss Marple's Tea Room in Sassafrass what a delightful place to have lunch or afternoon tea. Meal was delicious, sweets were to die for. I highly recommend this to everyone. Service was great and very friendly. Credit to owners and staff.

This was a quirky find in the Dandenongs. Bing Crosbie music lures you into the English cafe to be greeted by 1930's dresses waitresses serving delicious food. Seriously we were tempted beyond what we should have and the huge helpings were a bit much for us in the end. But I would do it just the same way again!!!!

I went to Miss Marple's Tea room in October 2014 and it far exceeded my expectations. It is located in the beautiful and scenic Dandenong ranges, just a short stroll away from a nature/bush walk through the forest and a variety of cute country shops that sell a range of things from wooden puppets to handmade scented soaps. We spent... More

We ordered two scones for $9.50. The jam and the cream were plentiful and excellent. But I am afraid that the scones were not like any I have ever had in my 74 years. They were simply large square cake-like things, spongy, and the date one had only small date. What a pity. The fish was very good, and the... More

Miss Marple's is a well known popular place to visit in the Dandenongs. The best time to go would be during the week, and even then you might have to wait for a table. Weekends are almost impossible. It is a gorgeous little tea room, very compact and tight but very cute and cosy. If you don't like being squashed... More

Service was prompt, ambiance was great. The tea room setting (along with the music played) felt as though it was part of universal studios/disneyland type of restaurants. Food was average but the prices seemed a little steep for the portion and the flavour. Scones were overrated, Ive had much better scones before at a fraction of the price Miss Marple's... More

Spent a few hours in Sassafras and went for lunch at Miss Marple's tearooms. A very delightful place to dine. Menu selection is very good with generous servings. We had lunch and finished with the Devonshire Scones. We actually shared one, as the scones are large and very filling. Tea and coffee is not included in the price. It would... More

During our day trip to the Dandenongs we stopped in at Sassafras and noticed a crowd gathering at a tea shop in town prior to opening. I had a craving for an English Devonshire tea and thought this was perfect stop. We were fortunate enough to get a seat and the service was excellent. Waffles and sticky date pudding would... More
