Spicy sausages & quality steak

This is a restaurant which has some class & as such the prices & are bit higher than just a food place. I had the spicy sausage 7 my 3 mates had steak. No complaints 7 everyone was satisfied with the quality, just a bit pricey though.

On entering Lygon Charcoal Grill & Steak House, you may think you’re in a gourmet meat shop or delicatessen. But with the first whiff of steak cooking on a charcoal grill, you are instantly reminded that you are walking into a steakhouse. This is no ordinary steakhouse for me because it was here four years ago that I had my... More

I am visiting this amazing place now more then 8 years and I am every time excited about the quality, taste and great service Vaso (owner) and his team provides. If you are in search for an absolute authentic Wiener Schnitzel, using veal, or amazingly tasting Serbian sausages, this is the place. Don't forget to have a slivoviza (Schnaps) after... More

We have been visiting this wonderful restaurant for the past, oh, many, many years. It has always been presented so well, tasted AMAZING, looked OMG. From the welcome upon arrival there are loads of drinks, salads, home made bread, all sorts of grilled meats including their specialty cevapcici ( which are to die for) on their menu. You must try... I attended a private function at this restaurant. Staff were very friendly, service was great and steak, although a bit pricey were excellent. Thoroughly recommended.

My partner, good friend and I sat down to order at this small yet welcoming and relaxed restaurant. Generally, Lygon street restaurant employees are trying hard to tempt and lure you in to their restaurants, something that is famous and what I believe to be good fun. However, the Steakhouse was quite the opposite and this relaxed vibe was a... More

Had international work colleague who wanted a good steak, end up going for a platter, absolutely faultless, the spicy sausage, the whole was just to die for. The interaction with staff was very welcoming with great service. If you after a great feed on Lygon you cannot go past here

We paid $110 a head for lunch today, including two bottles of the cheapest reds on the menu. The quality of the scotch fillet ($44 each) was very good, and ours were all faultlessly cooked. But the decor and ambience are nothing to write home about, and it was the frankly outrageous prices for mineral water ($11/bottle), salads and bits... More

Although a little pricey you do get what you pay for and what you get is excellent steak cooked to perfection. One of the few restaurants on lygon st where you can actually read the menu without someone spruiking their wares trying to get you into their restuarant. Will go back next time we are in lygon st

Saw the menu during an after dinner walk on Lygon, reutrned some nights later and was not disappoited. Service not rushed, and the steaks were grilled to our satisfaction. Not too crowded and great placefor conversation. Wouldcome back the next time in Melbourne.
