A true test is serving large number with unusual orders 11 meals arrive within 5 minutes . I had the chicken skewer and the chicken was tender. Rare to find that , so congratulations. We dined at Kri Kri towards the end of last year and unwittingly neglected to review at the time. I really wanted to share our experience of this restaurant, because we were delighted with both the food, and the excellent, attentive staff. We were heading to Melbourne for a few days away, and as we were staying in Chinatown, decided... More

We had a lunch here to celebrate a colleagues birthday. The banquet menu was selected -the were lots of different foods to sample. Starting with dips and saganaki, through to meats. The day we were there the dining room was not busy at all - only one to two other tables in addition to ours. Food was good as was... More

You won't be disappointed if you visit Kri Kri for an authentic Greek meal. The menu is plentiful and reasonably priced. The food is delicious and full of flavour! The decor is art deco with a hint of antique-ness about it. - I liked it as it wasn't tacky and the made the place feel warm and inviting. Only qualm... More

We arrived early as we were going to the theatre. It wasn't any trouble as they are in the theatre district and used to having time constraints. We both had mixed seafood platter and it was amazing. Lovely cream sauce and plenty of good quality seafood. Would definitely recommend. The atmosphere was very comfortable and the service very personal and... More

We dined at Kri Kri on a warm evening. I like the way he front of the restaurant is open so the cool evening air could circulate keeping the temperature perfect. The layout of the restaurant is relaxing with good room between tables. The menu has a good selection of Greek dishes. Only qualm was no fish of the day,... More

Visited on a day when it wasn't overly busy. Table for five overlooking the street. Great waiter, knew the menu off by heart and didn't write our orders down. All meals delivered to the correct person. Food true Greek style, made for sharing. l Left feeling full and happy

We decided to celebrate my wife's birthday here after initially planning Asian over the road. The menu didn't do it for us and when we turned around, there was Kri Kri. After careful consideration of the menu, we decided to take the waiters advice and have the set menu. It was a true taste of their whole menu. Wonderful flavours... More

We were looking for something other than Chinese food near our hotel when we came across Kri Kri and I'm so glad we found this place. With so many choices on the menu and no idea where to start we let the waiter order for us. He made wonderful choices, saganaki, marinated octopus, fried pork sausage, pita bread, just to... More

Kri Kri is located at the top end of Melbourne dear the live theatre precinct. On New Year's Eve we were going to a performance at the Princess Theatre and decided to look for a light meal in the hour before the show commenced. After walking a short distance down Little bourke street we came across Kri Kri. Several of... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
