We had a family dinner celebration at the Florentino Grill Restaurant in Melbourne. This Italian restaurant was recommended to us, it is located on Bourke Street in the centre of Melbourne. The menu list contains a nice variety of dishes: seafood, meat, pasta, vegetarian. The food that we had was excellent and our steaks were cooked to perfection. The encyclopedic... More

We recently had a weekend in Melbourne and were lucky to get a table on Friday night. The service is so refreshing, polite, informed and pleasant. The menu is well balanced. The simplest of starters bruschetta is just amazing and our meal did not disappoint for the rest of the night. The next night we actually went again after a... More

It is with great sadness and regret that I write this review. perhaps my expectations were set back in the 80's when there was little competition and a "name" said it all, after all this was my first ( and last) time at grossi's, a place I had wished to frequent on many occasions but just never got around to... Feeling the need for a coffee and a slice of something sweet, I happened to be walking by and thought the street cafe section under the plane trees looked like a good place to stop and be seen. The charming Italian waiter was graciously unperturbed by my simple order in the lunchtine rush. All of the waithers were charming, flirting... More

Recently we dined upstairs on a Friday. Not only was the the food fantastic value for a restaurant at this level ($65 for two courses) but was complemented beautifully by the the full suite of ambiance and service. We just could not fault this restaurant. Food simple yet stunning, staff and service flawless, and included a visit by Guy Grossi... More

Dropped by for breakfast on a Saturday morning. No croissants left by 9:15 am after waiting 25 minutes to be noticed, no water offered, had to ask twice for the bill. Waited another ten minutes for my change as I was not in the mood to leave a tip. In the end I just gave up and left. Shame really.
