Four of us had the set lunch recently and all were very happy with the food. Great value, including a glass of wine each. The only issue was the great buzz going on! Because this restaurant is so popular it was full and noisy on a Friday at lunchtime. A bit difficult for conversation, but terrific atmosphere. We just had... More

The perfect place for a business dinner. We had the Gran Tour Degustation, $140 per person plus wine at The Grill upstairs. Being a Degustation the servings are small but the quality, taste and presentation were second to none. The first course, Castradina, Giardini E Luna, was arguably the finest but all were great with the Suckling Pig and Valrhona... More

Our recent dining experience at Grossing Florentino was a gift from our children. On arrival at the upstairs restaurant we were warmly greeted and shown to our table. I was asked if I would like champagne or any other aperitif to start the evening. The detail given to the pouring of the champagne and subsequent wines was so professionally executed... More

I am originally form Brussels and currently living in Belfast Northern Ireland so I was pleasantly surprised to find a restaurant that reminded me of a visit to Rome a couple of years ago the service was perfect and once the menu was explained to us with a lovely Australian accent the food could not be faulted and we really... We have dined here a few times, however this was probably 8 years ago. The upstairs dining is fine dining at it's very best in Melbourne Cbd. Entering the upstairs area we were met and escorted to our table. Water and drinks were promptly offered by the very professional staff. Although no corona beer available we settled on a bottle... Visiting from NZ, my partner treated me to Dinner Upstairs on Monday night to celebrate my 50th birthday. The restaurant has very good gluten free options and the gluten free bread rolls were delicious. Could not fault the food and service and loved the grand old Italian atmosphere.

Went for dinner Upstairs on a Friday with high expectations, having come down to Melbourne from Sydney for the weekend and having had a choice of many wonderful restaurants. Beautiful dining room reminiscent of old school Italia. Restaurant was packed... With lots of birthdays by the sounds of the bursts of 'happy birthday' being sung throughout the night. Entree of... My wife and I went to Grossi Florentino for my birthday, I had never been but my wife had on a couple occasions, we ate in the grill not upstairs. We started with the oysters, they were very fresh and the chardonnay vinegar dressing was sensational. The we made our way through a couple of entrees sharing each dish, Crochette... More

A group of us went for a long awaited catch up for the late session at the grill. Starters were amazing oysters but unfortunately the mains were disappointing. Heavy meat filled plates with not much else. If you wanted any greens you had to order it. We caught site of the man himself at the counter in his whites, but... More

Turned up without a reservation (not a good idea!!) during lunchtime on a Saturday. Been here before and the same high standards are obvious. Not cheap but I left feeling as if I got value for my money.
