We had a meal here whilst visiting from the UK for my husbands birthday. Delicious food, really imaginative and beautifully prepared. Not cheap but worth it.

Romantic evening in a beautiful modern setting. Our three course meals were outstanding especially the entree quail and main meal of Ham Hock in Thai spices, beans with almond and feta and honey crunch ice cream. My mouth still waters at the exquisite presentation of all meals. I highly recommend Ezard Restuarant, it's easy to see why the Restuarant keeps... More

Outstanding food and wine, and friendly and engaging service make Ezard a "must" dining experience for us whenever we visit Melbourne. The degustation menu is not to be missed (vegatarian or pescatarian options are no problem) and make sure you ask Brendan for a recommendation from the extensive local and international wine list .... if you aren't indulging in the... We dined there last night with friends for my wife's 50th birthday celebration and it was simply sensational. Since it was a special occasion we booked the private dining area and had the 3 course al la carte menu. Everyone loved each dish that was served and the wine selection, albeit a bit pricey, was excellent. The service was also... More

We visit Melbourne every year for the tennis and always have one night where we glam it up at a fine dining restaurant. I chose Ezard based on its reviews and we had an amazing night of excellent service, food, beverages and overall ambiance. We chose the al a carte and enjoyed some tasty well presented food. The salmon and... More

Ezard is truly one of Melbourne's best. From the moment you arrive it is class plus. The service is just right - professional and not fussy. The meals are beautifully balanced and the flavours are unsurpassed. The oysters - I died and went to heaven. So did the others with us! This is a must for lovers of great food.... More

Our lunch @ Ezard was an absolute treasure! They serve both lunch and dinner - with dinner being more crowded (requiring reservations) and lunch being easy to get in for. Ben was our server who did a wonderful job pairing the tasting menu with wine and just the right amount of explanation and story telling with each pairing. We did... More

Having read many reviews on TA and elsewhere, our expectations were met, almost. The setting is OK, but nothing spectacular. The set lunch (express) looked tempting but we opted a la carte ... pork belly as a mains is not our first choice. The crab dumplings wer a bit bland ... have afeeling the chef could have done much more... More

A wonderful experience at Ezards to mark our special occasion. 8 courses of petit explosions of flavour. Some of the courses pack a punch and the next more mild. Overall an amazing balance and twist to each course which not only artful but delicious. Pricey - yes !!!. But staff are super attentive to your requirements with suggestions of change... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
