This restaurant really is a hidden gem in Albert Park.

A small unobtrusive restaurant that belies it's hidden qualities. Food brilliant, service very attentive and incredibly inexpensive. A small, intimate restaurant, great fir a casual dinner.

Such a pleasant experience. Very good service and all starters/entrees were so tasty. Great wine list as well. Desserts were delightful too. Would definitely go back. Very relaxing atmosphere.

How good can Japanese food be? At best, good, fresh food, competently cooked — the Japs have always put a premium, rightly so, on freshness. Check the astronomical prices for example of fresh tuna on the Tokyo fish market. But is freshness a triumph of cuisine, or the delivery system? What Japanese sauces are world famous, compared for instance with... More

We have visited this quiet restaurant in the heart of Albert Park regularly over the past three years and I feel compelled to compliment the owner in running such a consistently good establishment. The food is fresh and mouth-wateringly delicious. The bento box is a lunchtime favourite and well priced. The entrees are all interesting and the last time I... More

Lunched here with 8 friends. All but 1 of us had the Bento Box. The fillings were megre and just satisfactory. 2 small pieces of sashimi salmon and the same with the tuna. 4 pieces of Chicken Katsu, small salad and a goyza that was more like a wonton. Disappointing.

There are a number of Japanese resturants in albert park and eventhough Eis does not have a huge menu what they do have is fresh and fantastic. The setting is very clean and pleasent and that staff are really sweet. They also have a really good wine menu as well. very satisfying will go again.

I had food envy. Our food was satisfactory but the people on the next able ordered a large plate of sushi. I had the fresh crab dumplings which were plentiful but only ok. My second course was the duck - nicely cooked but just ok. Took a little long between the entree and main. Service was good. I wouldn't suggest... More

What a find, this gem of a restaurant in Albert Park. Strongly recommended by the trendsetters of my family who are regular diners at Eis and rave about the consistent excellence. All the food was amazing both in taste and presentation, with a very good wine list to accompany. Great service by very pleasant staff, with Hiro the owner graciously... More

Eis is a charming Japanese restaurant in Albert Park, close to where I used to live. The food and service are both excellent, though the bill can quickly add up when ordering a few starter dishses. There aren't a huge number of options on the dinner menu, but the ones that are there are all great, especially the tuna with... More
