Cookie has become one of my 'must go' places when I visit Melbourne. The busy buzz in the room and the fit out are really inviting and paired with some amazing Thai food, you can't go wrong. I agree with other reviewers the staff are a little too cool for school but that is not out of the ordinary in... More

Great menu full of flavour, and the beers on tap are impressive. I always return to Cookie as a meeting place. Sometimes the staff make me uncomfortable because they're too cool.

Turned up just after midday on a Sunday so all in all pretty quiet. Got a great seat in the bar out on the balcony watching Melbourne go by. Highly recommend the Chilli Mussels and the duck and pineapple salad.

Service - they've separated the restaurant into two sections, one restaurant section and one "bar" section (bigger than the restaurant and fully equipped with the same tables as the restaurant section, it just means they don't have to serve you). We were in the "bar" section as they didn't return our calls about a booking. We were fine ordering at... More

One of my fave's in Melbs, and somewhere everyone should hit up. Love the balconies, and an ever evolving beer list.

Stopped for an early light meal, around 6 pm, at this fun, lively, light-filled restaurant on Melbourne's main street. Found a welcoming host, and intriguing menu. Had the drunken prawns (wonderful), the scallops ( spicy and delicious), and the steamed mussels (incredible!). The window tables are fun but be prepared for birds landing on the railing. Lively bar scene and... More

We were not allowed in. The reason was not explained to us. It seems like an arrogant and rude venue. They let in countless of patrons while we were in line, we were not drunk we were looking to get in and they gave no reason as to why they wouldn't let us in. Left an incredibly sour taste to... We managed to get a table for a late Sunday lunch which was obviously a very busy time but the menu was tempting, the food spicy and delicious accompanied by coconut rice and roti bread. The wine list was huge with lots of choices from local and overseas wines. Would definitely eat here again when in Melbourne.
