This was a surprise. We were expecting cheap and cheerful Thai food - second floor in an older building. Turns out it was a huge room just crammed with 30 something hipsters, all talking (shouting) at the top of their lungs. We found a tiny table in the bar - got to know the folks at the next table! The description of beer hall with Tai food is apt. Huge, crowded, and very noisy on a Saturday night. Some good beer options and reasonably good Tai food but certainly not exceptional. Stay away if you are over 30 years old.

We ate before going to the theatre. Even at 6.00pm the restaurant was full and noisy and we were glad that we had booked. The service was slow and we were a little disappointed with the meals - the portions were small and the salmon in particular (one salmon steak on a spoonful of spinach) was underwhelming. For the price... More

We found this restaurant bar in our guide book and didn't think it quite lived up to its billing but it was still a lovely meal out and very good food. It will always be busy so expect slow service. Diners have to order at the bar and at busy times this can take a while leaving your partner sat... More

Cookie combines a beer hall atmosphere with some amazing thai food. Our group of 8 ordered the banquet meal which comprised a number of common thai dishes (pad thai, spicy beef, prawn curries) and non traditional thai (smoked ribs). Service was extremely friendly and the prices were fair. In spite of it being a very busy night, our large group's... More

Went with group of 6 on white night very busy but service impeccable lychee and Lemon grass cocktails to die for. Food great , staff very willing to recommend beers etc. 1st time waste show before strictly ballroom, champagne cocktails and lovely bottle of Chardonnay. Thai fusion food Yum, baked snapper to die for

We have been wanting to try cookie for along time and we were not disappointed at all, the staff friendly and welcoming and were knowledgable of the menu. The food was really lovely and some of the prettiest dumplings I've ever seen. Very reasonably priced. Cannot wait to go again.

Prior to our trip, my husband read about Cookie in a beer magazine. Read up on it in Trip Advisor. Needless to say this got three reviews from both places. The wine list is as long a a book, the beer menu just a few pages less. We had firecracker prawn as an app. Turmeric chicken and yellow curry snapper... More
