We have been going to this fabulous restaurant for years but last week found it closed - the telephone number has a recording saying it has been disconnected. This is a huge disappointment.

I'm a local resident and want to let everyone know that Chinta Blue's is no longer operating - it's closed for good and the premises is stripped bare.

Chinta Blues is a regular treat for us and we really appreciate their quick, friendly service and yummy food! It is always hard to choose, but we love the Spiced Calimari or Sate entrees, Roast Duck on Rice or Roti Curry mains, & the Sago or Sticky Date Pudding for dessert. Of the the Seafood Laksa is a must have... More

Had a meal here on our last night in Australia. Fantastic Malaysian food, best we've had outside of Malaysia. Lovely atmosphere and friendly service, everything is cooked to order which means its fresh and hot, only downside was that our meals all came out separately but as we were sharing everything it didn't matter too much. Would definitely recommend it... More

We enjoyed our visit to chinta Blues a lot. We ordered curry puffs, satay chicken skewers, spring rolls, roti bread and Singapore noodles. We loved everything. The restaurant was very tastefully decorated and very busy on the Sunday evening we visited. Only two small criticisms: finding a free carpark nearby was difficult ( there was a car park next door... Saturday evening in St. Kilda without a booking is not a good idea , especially when you are starving and have to be at Theatreworks in 40 minutes time. We had eaten in Chinta Blues years ago and it was excellent so we were happily surprised when we got a table . We told our very attentive waiter that we... More

Went for a Friday evening meal with family who live in the area. The food was delicious & the service great. It was busy, so obviously a popular restaurant.

Family went to this restaurant about 5 years ago and were blown away by the food, and I have been to the sister restaurant Chinta Ria in Sydney many times which has stunning food. I was slightly disappointed with the food here, it was very average, and not even close to as good as the Sydney one. I had Beef... More

Service was efficient - but food was not upto scratch. The chicken curry was over cooked to the point of shredding

Maybe it was the chief's (not chef's) night off but it was a Friday and we were expecting a full house and very noisy - because that's what we like about hawker style. Instead we didn't wait and we were served as soon as we sat down. Entrees were perfect but the Cha Kwa Teow which is a house specialty,... More
