This is a small café that serves great food. The seating is so tight that you constantly have waiters serving over your head to reach the other end of the table. Love the food and very good service. The wine list however was overpriced. $60+ for an Australian wine was not sensible. worth a try.

Alarm bells sounded when we noticed wine prices for Australian wines were in excess of $65 per bottle, a markup of 300-400% is greedy and outrageous. Two of my fellow diners ordered the Salmon Fillet, which was extremely small for the price paid. My Calamari main course looked more like an entire size, leaving me hungry after dinner. Another one... More

My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and I requested an 'amazing table'! We arrived at 9.00 pm, were warmly greeted and then taken upstairs to a balcony were there is one table for two. Perfect - a balmy Melbourne night and was very quite and romantic. We ordered the bruschetta and the Tagliata (Italian for slice steak)... More

I recently came here with my family while I was visiting them in Melbourne, they had been here a couple of times before and couldn't recommend it higher! We were seated at the front of the restaurant by the window, it is a small place, but very warm and has a great atmosphere about it! Our waiter was excellent, took... More

This is a wonderful little Italian restaurant in South Yarra that is worth a stop if you're in the mood for some great, comforting food. The staff is (as far as I could tell) all young Italian guys who speak with just the right amount of accent. The food was wonderful (I recommend the Ragu). The space is quite tight,... More

Went for a 20th anniversary dinner, happy to pay a lot ($230 for two), but when you pay a lot you need the service to be crisp and the food to be excellent. Very crowded restaurant with the waiter's bum in your face, not for the mainstream. Ok atmosphere and warm, at least, but we waited a long time for... More

I love this restaurant, whenever I come to Melb I always try and include coming here on my itinerary. The food is simple but tasty and just so delicious, I can't get pass ordering the linguine. This time my husband ordered the truffle pasta which was so good, I think I'm going to be changing my standard order. The service... More

Found out about this place from a newspaper article and it didn't disappoint. We had gluten free meals and they were delicious, although the king prawn I got in my pasta was very overcooked but given that's the only gripe I think they are doing okay. The waiter was also so lovely and with his Italian accent the whole experience... More

We had a fantastic evening at Caffe e Cucina celebrating a birthday. The waiting staff are outstanding, very knowledgable about the food and wine, and provide a very personalized service. The food is also delicious, we had to roll ourselves home! The atmosphere also tops this place off, cosy and intimate. I would 100% recommend to anyone.

The food was very ordinary. Portion sizes were tiny and were nowhere near filling. $30+ for a 2 slices of overcooked and dry chicken? No thanks.
