Pleasantly surprised for our first time at Bottega. Innovation and tradition find a perfect match in a good ambience, upstairs, with fresh air from a window which was an additional surprise. We had an entree of fritto misto and octopus and mains of pork and snapper with prosecco from Veneto. Good service, reasonably timed.

It's located quietly amongst more flamboyant restaurants and easy to miss but the dishes keep you coming back. Best deal is at lunch - 2 course for 45 or 3 course for 55 bucks. The waiters have always been nice and helpful. Once when I had to go to the airport with big luggage, the waitress help me store the... More

We took some friends here as a thank you present and had such a pleasant evening together. The food was delicious. The wine list, while pricey is extensive and enjoyable. The service was good. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience. It is not cheap though. It is, however, worth the cost. You may also consider the pre-theatre dining options... More

These guys! Staff are lovely but overworked. Food is good but expensive. Management though! So unhelpful. So abrupt. Virtually rude and it's never their problem. I really don't want to return there because of their attitude. They don't seem to realise there is a lot of competition in melbourne.

We had a very nice evening with friends here in January. The menu was a little limiting and the meals were nice but the deserts were the biggest hit - the tiramisu and the fruit and wafer? dish were both divine. Our waiter was fantastic with very good wine knowledge and a great personality.

Everything to like, nothing to dislike. Very good Italian leaning food and excellent wine list. Professional service. We particularly liked the young lady whose background country was Laos.

Arrived just after 9pm on a Friday night after seeing a movie. Wandered in with no booking and was welcomed and quickly seated. Service was prompt and efficient. Owner was an exceptional host, there to answer any questions and guided us with some brilliant champagne and wine selections. Great menu - lots to choose from. We both chose the slow... More

The owner welcomed me, offered a glass of great wine and suggested me the slow roasted goat with couscous, yoghurt and pistachios. I couldn't be happier. I'm reviewing it as I drink my third glass of wine. The restaurant is busy on monday evening, people keep walking in, and it's really hard to decide what I'll have for dessert because... More

Tried this place weeks ago. Had pork belly. The pork was well cooked, very soft. I booked the restaurant on line and was a bit late for the dinner special offer but the manager still kindly offered me the three courses special. Service is very nice
