Garlic/buttery deliciousness!

We have eaten at this family run Italian restaurant many times. It is always wonderfully aromatic with a fantastic dose of garlic/buttery dishes, and last night I tried the bomb alaska, which was soaked in almond liqueur and a soft gooey merengue. I loved it and we will continue to come back again... read more

Can't go past eggplant parmigiana and garlic mushrooms for starters. I have been going to this restaurant for years and it is always perfect. Michael and his staff are welcoming and very helpful.

My husband and myself had a meal (lunch) here for a birthday celebration. We have eaten here before, and the food, service, and ambience was excellent. This time the experience was just as good. My husband had two entree size dishes as he couldn't decide between them. He said the chicken liver with rocket, chilli and garlic was fantastic, and... More

I'm sure many people have walked past this place and not given it a second thought. Bad luck for them I say. The interior is dated and old fashioned which only adds to the charm of the overall experience. Food is brilliant and service is very friendly and attentive. Whatever you do don't go here without trying either the gnocchi,... More

Went here for my birthday with some friends, and the food was beautiful, the only complaint I have is that it is very small and some of my friends were getting knocked about as the waiters came passed. other than that, food was great, its also BYO which is always good. Corkage was only $3.90 per person.

We were shown to a table upon arrival, tap water were served immediately with the menu. We placed our order of salad, appetiser, 2 pasta to share among 4 of us. Portion decent but food was good and delicious and we ended our dinner with 2 desserts. Price paid was about A$180 which I think is a bit steep, but... More

We have been to Amiconi many times over the years (20 plus),only occasionally recently as we found it frequently overcrowded & often noisy. It is one of the very few restaurants at which we have never had a poor meal & with rare exceptions received excellent service. Last night we dined there with friends & felt that it had returned to... More

Has a small shop front which does not attract but once inside great atmosphere hits you. Recipes have been handed down over the generations and servings are generous and top quality. Prices are at top end of typical Italian menu

We arrived without a booking and they accommodated us at the last minute. The food was superb, the staff were fantastic and the ambience of the place was like I was back in Italy visiting a restaurant. Definitely a place to visit on your next trip to Melbourne.
