This place looked small and quaint so the hubby and I decided to give it a go. we were NOT disappointed!! The muscles were amazing and the service was the same. Can't wait to pop back here asap! Loved it.

If authentic Italian food is your desire this place will not disappoint. The hand made pasta melts in your mouth and the calamari is simply special. The service is second to none and the atmosphere although small is very quaint. Will always go back.

Tight packed room even midweek. Food always great, service typical of a family restaurant. Uncompromisingly old school.

Welcoming and accommodating hosts, satisfying dishes and a cosy atmosphere, it's well worth the trip to North Melbourne to experience the oldest family-owned Italian restaurant in town. I can vouch for the gnocchi... My particular bent wasn't even on the menu (with cream cheese and gorgonzola sauce) but the hosts/chefs were more than happy to accommodate me. My wife stated... More

This is by far one of the best restaurants in Melbourne. Not pretentious. Genuine rustic food. The banquets are are simply sensational and extremely well priced. Service is impeccable. I've been coming to this restaurant for 25 years and it always impresses me.I have no hesitation it recommending this restaurant to anyone who really appreciates fine dinning. This is a... More

I've been going to this West Melbourne institution since I was a kid. What a lovely little family run restaurant serving ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS authentic Italian food. Beautiful old school rustic Italian ambience. Not at all pretentious. An asset to Melbourne's ever evolving restaurant scene. Little has changed here over the years and for good reason - it gets everything right.... More

Amiconi is a small restaurant in West Melbourne that has a long heritage. The restaurant is only about 5 meters wide and the tables are squeezed in tight, so you are not going to get an intimate dinner here. The other thing is the noise, we went on a Tuesday night and the place was absolutely full - not one... More

We vsisted here twice, each time we were amazed by the great service and generous portions of great home style cooking. Their garlic mushrooms are a crowd pleaser as are their Orecchiette Con Verdura, full of flavour. The restaurant has a great family feel, always lots of people and superbly family friendly. The brothers and their staff are perfect hosts.... More

We had dinner at this restaurant 3 times while vacationing in Melbourne. The atmosphere, food and service is truly Italian. Loved the salads and the pastas -- so fresh and flavourful. The servings are substantial, and my husband and I shared a large green salad as an appetizer, it was really big.
