Five of us went last Saturday night, and were disappointed. We booked in at 6pm, and the French girl waiter was only interested in getting us through the meal and out the door so they could get more revenue. We ordered starter plates and not knowing the size of these, we opted not to also order our main at the... More

Asked if they could do gluten free when booked. Of course was the answer. Every other French restaurant we have been to in Melbourne and France can do it but, after arriving and ordering, we found out they couldn't! Even my duck ragout was very average and I'm not a coeliac! My husband went hungry, although I must say they... More

We had booked a show at The Athenaeum Theatre and were just checking out our tickets when we noticed the Bistrot d'Orsay tucked in beside the theatre. We had intended to eat before the show so decided to give it a try. A really cosy little restaurant with fabulous decor and a real atmosphere. We were early with some time... More

We have often been here and the latest was on Tue 19 May 2015. My, my what a terrible disappointment! Changes in staff, chef and overall service poor. It has gone backwards. No one bothered to top up our wine glasses, which they used to do before. There was no..."How was your meal?" like they used to ask before. Shame,... More

We went based on the reviews and I must have to say that this restaurant should be closer to the top. The food was great. Try the Pear tartin with Almond Icecream. The service by Karli was top notch. A must go to.

We booked a table for 2 for a Friday night birthday dinner. We arrived 5 minutes before our allotted time of 7pm to find the restaurant jammed packed and our table ) not ready. They said there would be a little wait and then came back and said we could be seated by the front door, declined that offer as... More

Tried this place on Saturday night and was filled up by 6PM. We ordered a couple of drinks, entree and steaks. The scallops were juicy and not overpowered by the accompaniment. The bouillabaisse was great although my partner is not a fan of tomato and I would've preferred it with a bit more acidic kick. The steaks were of good... More

First time visitor based on other Tripadvisor comments and came away very happy. The evening didn't start off great when we were seated at a table directly in front of the kitchen. To the credit of staff, we were moved fairly quickly which made the evening that much more enjoyable. Thereafter the Scott the Manager was very friendly and couldn't... More
