a real find

Walked in at lunch time without a booking and were warmly welcomed though the bistro was very busy. We chose the set menu of two courses for $35, including a glass of wine. This is really good French cooking, beautifully presented and though I am a small eater, I found the dishes too tempting to... read more

We recently had dinner here after reading positive reviews and were pleased we did. Restaurant is fairly small with nice decor. For entree we shared a charcuterie platter which had lovely meats and terrines and vegetables and some of the nicest pate I've ever had. For main I had the Goat cheese soufflé which was light. My husband had steak... More

Off to see the Lion King and discovered this lovely French restaurant across from the Regent theatre in Melbourne. A perfect place for lunch as we were seeing the matinee show. I had made reservations and mentioned we were seeing the Lion King etc.. So we could be out on time. Not a problem. We had a seat by the... More

Based on our love of French bistro cuisine and a high rating in Trip Advisor we booked a table recently for dinner. The room was charming with a muraled ceiling, the tables for two though are quite tiny. The onion tart was one of the best things I've ever eaten! The service and the main courses did not disappoint. Highly... More

Excellent food. Wait staff were very attentive and friendly. Staff were very busy but did not let that prevent them from offering a very high standard service.

Went for dinner here with my wife on a Friday night and had a great dinner. Food was great (recommend the steak and bouillabaisse), and service was exceptional. Will definitely be back.

Bistro Dorsay offers small plates as well as full dinners. We like that option. We dined on scallops and chicken. Indoor and outdoor dining is available.

Whether for lunch or dinner, Bistro D'Orsay is consistently of a high standard. Tables are set close together in typical Parisian bistro style, but to me that just adds to the atmosphere. We went this week before a show, and the wait staff were all relaxed & friendly but very efficient, offering good advice on wine selection and ensuring we... More
