Fantastic food and service

We went based on the reviews and I must have to say that this restaurant should be closer to the top. The food was great. Try the Pear tartin with Almond Icecream. The service by Karli was top notch. A must go to.

We booked a table for 2 for a Friday night birthday dinner. We arrived 5 minutes before our allotted time of 7pm to find the restaurant jammed packed and our table ) not ready. They said there would be a little wait and then came back and said we could be seated by the front door, declined that offer as... More

Tried this place on Saturday night and was filled up by 6PM. We ordered a couple of drinks, entree and steaks. The scallops were juicy and not overpowered by the accompaniment. The bouillabaisse was great although my partner is not a fan of tomato and I would've preferred it with a bit more acidic kick. The steaks were of good... More

First time visitor based on other Tripadvisor comments and came away very happy. The evening didn't start off great when we were seated at a table directly in front of the kitchen. To the credit of staff, we were moved fairly quickly which made the evening that much more enjoyable. Thereafter the Scott the Manager was very friendly and couldn't... More

Many years ago I started to frequent Le Gitane in rue de Motte Piquet in Paris not a tourist restaurant. I walked into bistro Dorsay and it took me back. Two of us at a table close to our neighbours but far enough for privacy. A lovely Decor that creates plenty of atmosphere. Very French in Collins Street. Our waiter... More

Imprompto visit, 6 of us, no booking. Got a table outside. Didnt expect too much, but was pleasantly surprised. Great service, good wine list, very tasty food - what more can you want? The steak was cooked to perfection. What an awesome place to have an authentic Melbourne street dining experience. Will definately recommend and go again. Reasonably priced as... More

Walked in at lunch time without a booking and were warmly welcomed though the bistro was very busy. We chose the set menu of two courses for $35, including a glass of wine. This is really good French cooking, beautifully presented and though I am a small eater, I found the dishes too tempting to waste! With more time we... More

We recently had dinner here after reading positive reviews and were pleased we did. Restaurant is fairly small with nice decor. For entree we shared a charcuterie platter which had lovely meats and terrines and vegetables and some of the nicest pate I've ever had. For main I had the Goat cheese soufflé which was light. My husband had steak... More
