Stopped by for dinner during a 4 night stay. Convinced by the menu and the politeness of the gentleman out the front. Thought we'd give it a try. Had the bruschetta and garlic bread starters, and the seafood marinara pizza and mussels in tomato sauce mains. Very generous servings and toppings, but dishes lacked flavour. Mussels were good. Too much... More

Went to this restaurant two out of the four nights I was in Melbourne. Food and service was exceptional. Veal Rosamarino was to die for!

In Melbourne for a long weekend and strolled over to Lygon st . A nice man offered us some drinks and garlic bread and promised a genuine Italian feed , we were not disappointed . Ordered risotto , lamb shanks , veal Marsala and a pizza . Everyone was happy , the service great and staff friendly . Will be... More

When in Melbourne you must visit Lygon Street for the italian experience and Cosentino hit the mark perfectly. We ate outside alfresco and had the perfect pasta. Staff where very friendly and attentive and the meal generous and well priced. What more can you ask. The street itself is famous for italian food and you simply can't go wrong. I... More

We were on a shopping trip to melbourne and landed up in the Italian district. We were swooned over to eat here with the promise of a free bottle of wine and some bruschetta :) Had a good, homely meal but nothing spectacular. Service very good though. Had an enjoyable meal.

Genuine, delicious Italian food! Five of us ordered five different dishes, including some of the menu specials and we were all astounded by the quality and taste of the food! They have a seafood dish (Scoglio I think it was called), which no other restaurant on the street has, and let me tell you, it is worth every penny! Hand... More

We are not fussy people but did not like this restaurant at all. The owner spends all of his time telling customers that the guy who owns the restaurant next door is not a real Italian. The waitresses were not trained and were not able to keep up even though there were few people in the restaurant. The food was... More

2 of us liked our meals and 2 disliked.... Wife and 1 son liked their pasta, second son had a junior sized spaghetti with meatballs that only had 4 very small meat balls in it. My pizza marinara was undercooked and the base was reminiscent of a poor frozen pizza Altogether very average - I should know better, it is... More

We walked past quite a few of the restaurants trying to decide which was the most suitable. What persuaded me to stop at this one was firstly the prices seemed reasonable & the owner was Italian. We ate here New Years eve & sat outside on the pavement which was very pleasant. Service was efficient. There were 4 in our... More
