Description: This hip urban space in Melbourne's CBD is a welcoming retreat from the cold with its effervescent fit-out, attentive service and creative cuisine. Queen Street Rescue Restaurant Bar dishes out contemporary Australian fare with unique flavour combinations. The restaurant has a rustic, weathered look about it, from the shabby chic wall panels in white, baby green and lilac hues to the long timber tables with their bucolic-style wooden chairs. Great food, wine and some old fashioned table service where the wait staff do more than just take your order but make you feel like you've been coming here for years! We also cater for those needing a Gluten Free menu!

Went once with my girlfriend and had an excellent meal despite them forgetting to put an order through.(this was rectified by the manager quickly) Never had to ask for another drink and food was spot on. Went again with a few friends and found ourselves waiting to be offered another drink, food took forever and was cold when served. Far... More

We ate here one evening on a recent trip to Melbourne after seeing it on Trip Advisor and I'm really glad we did. The service was good, friendly but not in your face. The food was very good (we had a burger and a pizza) and there is a good selection on the menu. Prices are reasonable too. Would definitely... More

Really enjoyable, good food, good service and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Pizza was tasty and loads of prawns in the pasta!

A great find in Melbourne for middle of road dining. Very rustic but appealing surrounds and friendly waiting staff. A wide range of food on the menu at very reasonable prices. Very tasteful well cooked and nicely presented meals. Highly recommended.

Had dinner here recently and was impressed with all aspects. Service was great and menu choice adequate. Not fine dining, but great choice of good fulfilling meals. Meals came out in a timely manner. Cater for and patient with high chair age children. Not right in the CBD, which is one of its appealing features. Visit, you will be happy... More

we had drinks here 2 nights whilst staying in the apartments above for work, also had breakfast 2 days. At all times the staff were helpful and friendly and the wine list was quite good in a very relaxed setting.

Went downstairs from the apartments expecting a 'hotel' type experience. Nothing like that with a really good ambience, tasty food and excellent and efficient service. Had the haloumi cheese entree and the prawn and chorizio pizza which were excellent
