This hip urban space in Melbourne's CBD is a welcoming retreat from the cold with its effervescent fit-out, attentive service and creative cuisine. Queen Street Rescue Restaurant Bar dishes out contemporary Australian fare with unique flavour combinations. The restaurant has a rustic, weathered look about it, from the shabby chic wall panels in white, baby green and lilac hues to the long timber tables with their bucolic-style wooden chairs. Great food, wine and some old fashioned table service where the wait staff do more than just take your order but make you feel like you've been coming here for years! We also cater for those needing a Gluten Free menu!

trendy spot for after work or pre-footy drinks

we popped in on Saturday night while waiting for our parking meter to tick over. I had a coffee and it was made exactly how I asked! gotta love that.

Staying next door for the week, drinks and dinner for several nights at QSR after a long day was like coming home. The atmosphere was relaxed and dining was casual. The food was great - pasta, pizza, salads etc. The Wagyu burger is divine and the fries crunchy. The vegetarian pizza had a crispy crust and just the right amount... More

Food was very tasty and the restaurant was very beautiful. We really love the interior. Waiters were nice and offered a good service. If we come back to Melbourne we would definitely go there again.

Popped in here with the kids. Milk shakes and pancakes all round for them. I had the poached eggs on toast and my wife the rescue breakfast. Nothing fancy but simple food done well and at a reasonable cost. Runs offers on various days of the week that can further help with costs.

Yeah, has the feeling of a really great local drop-in place. Good beer, good wine (and even a decent selection of cider, as my partner discovered). Good vibes, great staff, relaxed atmosphere. And very fair prices indeed for what's on offer, including specials of the day that make you want to go back on a Wednesday or a Sunday, or....any... More

This gem of a bar/cafe was directly next to our accommodation. Met family there for an afternoon drink and nibbles...the salt & pepper calamari was delicious! Also used them for room service one night and each dish great quality and enjoyable. As with previous reviews...there coffee was one of the best I had in Melbourne.
