Ordered the Minestrone soup, it was luke warm and extremely spicy. Not very enjoyable at all. The mulled wine tasted like mulled cinnamon vinegar and left a horrible taste in my mouth. Also disappointing that they didn't serve coffee as it was a really chilly day. Location is fantastic and is the only thing that is a positive about Ponyfish... More

At night, just have a stroll along the Yarra river, head down to the ponyfish island. A good place to relax and try some beers. The view is romantic too. Be careful : you are kind of safe when it is raining with the umbrellas, but you will get cold if you don't wear the suitable clothes if winter time.

Awesome location under the pedestrian bridge at Southbank. Even though it was a cold night we were all cosy by the gas heater- watching the city lights! So romantic. Not a huge selection of drinks but more than adequate. The menu is OK- mostly subs. We decided to have a few drinks and eat elsewhere. This is a little gem... More

Tucked away under the pedestrian bridge over the Yarra River, this restaurant/bar is the ideal island venue. This place was packed when we arrived and we were lucky to get the last table. We ordered the Beef and Chicken Quesadillas which were tasty washed down with the unlikely larger. The prices were reasonable and it was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon... More

Located in the South Wharf area in Melbourne, you can find of the most picturesque outdoor bars / restaurants (more bar than restaurant) of Melbourne. It is fully surrounded by water at the foot of a bridge in the middle of a great area, full of restaurants and bars. The atmosphere is great and creative (maybe due to the great... More

This quirky little cafe/drinks venue is literally located on the Yarra River at the base of a Bridge Pylon. The staff were friendly, the Chicken Tostada with Jalepenos was excellent and the Jacob's Creek Wine served in a cordial glass was different. Great location, very intimate and the passing parade of River traffic provided interesting entertainment. Perfect location on a... More

The ponyfish Island bar is a great place to stay on a summer day or evening for a couple of drinks. We enjoyed the view, the atmosphere right next to the river and the great mixed aperol sprizz drinks. The bartenders were very nice and charming. It was really a cool and special place, which we will keep in mind.

Loved the setting of this cafe in the middle of the Yarra River which gives you a 360 degree view of the river banks on both sides and the city lights. Tried mulled wine and their own brew called unlikely lager of which both were good and worth tasting. Tourists who look under aged for drinking must carry their passports... More

Make a point of having a night cap here most times I visit Melbourne. The staff are friendly and it is just great sitting in the middle of the Yarra under the pedestrian bridge!

A nice place for a coffee, drink and snack. downside for me is the loud acoustical music which is distracting, but as I say that is for me..
