Great secret social spot! Great mulled wine which was lovely for a chilly night. Will be visiting again to try some food in the day with their cider!

Always have a beer or two on the way back from the AFL when staying on Southbank when in Melbourne. Good choice of beers and really nice location to look at the lights of Melbourne at night. To account for the typical Melbourne weather, always bring a coat and make sure you have sunscreen as you will probably need both... More

This is a unique bar actually under a pedestrian bridge on the Yarra River. Huckle puff cocktail is quite tasty and the beer is ok but you mainly go for the vibe and the view, which is great. We will visit again.

Under the 'lovers bridge' over the Yarra Pony Island is a great place for a casual snack /drink, including mulled wine on the day we visited very appropriate to the weather, while watching the world go by on busy South bank. Good range of boutique beers, wines and food at very reasonable prices by Melbourne standards...have a good coat with... More

If you get a chance pop down under the bridge for drink ON the Yarra! Lovely views, great cheese and wine. And the Norman Tom Collins cocktail will knock your socks off! The best place for a quiet drink in Melbourne!

I challenge anyone to find a better setup in Melbourne. Great view and atmosphere, nice selection of drinks, good choice of simple food, really unique concept. In winter they provide blankets (and mulled wine) to offset the cold. Has all the trappings of pretension but neatly manages to avoid it. Given the choice between here and all the carbon copy... A short walk downstairs from the pedestrian bridge across the Yarra river and you're on Ponyfish Island. Interesting little scenic stop with various tables and stools where you can sit and look at the happenings of South bank while sipping on some hot muled wine. Worth a brief visit.

Ordered the Minestrone soup, it was luke warm and extremely spicy. Not very enjoyable at all. The mulled wine tasted like mulled cinnamon vinegar and left a horrible taste in my mouth. Also disappointing that they didn't serve coffee as it was a really chilly day. Location is fantastic and is the only thing that is a positive about Ponyfish... More

At night, just have a stroll along the Yarra river, head down to the ponyfish island. A good place to relax and try some beers. The view is romantic too. Be careful : you are kind of safe when it is raining with the umbrellas, but you will get cold if you don't wear the suitable clothes if winter time.
