Awesome place

Really cool place to go for evening drinks. It's actually in the river so would be lovely at sunset. It was packed when I went on a Friday evening so they had to do one in one out. Staff were really friendly.

Place is absolutely Jammed with locals and tourists as it is located in the middle of the river attached to the footing of one of the bridges - very good selection of local beers and wines

While walking along the Southbank I came across a bridge with went to a small cafe/bar on as island in the middle of the Yarra. It was really relaxing to have a beer and a snack and watch the world go by.

Bit of a disappointment this place. Security are a bit over zealous and it's always a hassle trying to get somewhere to sit. Food was subpar and drinks are very expensive, considering it's just standard fare.

We popped into pony fish for a beer whilst in Melbourne a couple of weeks ago. We actually intended to get a cup of tea but discovered they don't serve tea or coffee, so ended up with one of their own brand beers which was very good. The staff were really friendly and all seemed to be in high spirits... More

Wow, the pics say it all, great location, amazing views, th'e Nachos, OMG best ever, presented in a noce rectangular box, oozes condiments and beef, can order a vegie one too, just mouth watering, ok wine list would have been 5 stars if more wine on offer a little pricey and I think it is a premium for its location... Had often noticed this rather unique cafe in the middle of the Yarra River. Great spot for people watching which we did while enjoying a glass of wine. Food menu didn't appeal but a perfect place to enjoy the river views before choosing a lunch venue from the multitude of eateries along the promenade.

Have a beer or a cocktail, in the middle of the Yarra River. What an original pub ! Friendly place, animated, alive, warm. Sometimes guys upstairs check your ID's, sometimes not, which is weird (do not be jealous, I am 26 and look 6 years less ahah) but anyway, Ponyfish Island is a place to be

Nice hidden little bar. Average prices for the city and not too bad to sit and people watch. Can be a little chilly if it gets windy.
