Such a nice place to have a drink or eat a snack. Best time to visit is at sunset. I went twice on my visit to Melbourne. If I'm back I'd repeat for sure!!!!

Stumbled upon the Ponyfish Island Café whilst walking back to our hotel & popped in for a drink - how often do you find a bar under a bridge in the middle of the river. Enjoyed a bottle of Ponyfish Cider whilst watching the city lighting up. Would definitely recommend but if the weather is a bit chilly make sure... More

While walking along the river we came across the Ponyfish Island Cafe, stopped to have a drink and what fun. Loads of friendly people in the middle of the river below a footbridge. Clever!!! Fair prices for the drinks and while we didn't have anything to eat the food that was being served looked very good. So if you're walking... More

Alternative venue. Great music, great staff, awesome location. Watch the paddle boarders go by. Bit windy, but that can't be helped. Get there early to get a good seat as it gets packed pretty quickly. The menu is simple and fresh. Great choices from smashed avo on toast, lamb rolls and cheese platters yum! Gay friendly too with a crowd... More

This is the best bar in melbourne for the views and atmosphere. Not a large selection of beverages so keep that in mind.

Pony fish Island is the only restaurant/bar sitting in the river so it's a little quirky and worth a visit. Quite expensive, but a nice place for a beer on a summers day/evening. Had a pulled pork sandwich which was nice and tasty.

Go here! Ponyfish is beneath a bridge and right on the Yarra. It's behind the Flinder's Station. Great place to have a cocktail or a beer (But check the prices, sometimes the blackboard gets smeared on the price list, and we thought we were ordering an $8 drink and it was an $18 drink). My advice is stick to the... More

Just a really interesting setting, really enjoyed the beer and submarine and felt like I was really in a different aspect of Melbourne.

This place is like a permanent pop up bar. Situated on one of the supports of a foot bridge located in the middle of the Yarra River. The vibe is trendy with all sorts of people thier clientele. Everyone is friendly and the service is fast and efficient. I've been here a couple of times know and recommend the subs... More
