Third Wave has an extensive breakfast, lunch and dinner menu, with most options available throughout the day. The cafe has a Russian background, so also provides some different and authentic options. The coffee is as a good as anywhere in Melbourne. There is also a fairly new American BBQ menu (breakfast and lunch options) which is fantastic, and certainly a... More

10 of us ate here last night and had the degustation menu. Amazing Beef and Pork Ribs, Chicken, Brisket, Coleslaw, Mushrooms, Mac n Cheese and dips were brought out to the table. Everything was excellent and quantities were spot on - nobody left hungry! Total bill for all of us was less than $350 and that was with some beers... More

Quirky menu that has mix of Southern, Mexican and Russian dishes. Starters of spicy chicken wings and chicken quesadilla was not very Mexican in flavors, would have been better if it was Buffalo wings. Tender pork ribs melts in the mouth, lamb shoulder was average, good coleslaw, roast potatoes has slight garlic flavor and tasted great. Worth a try if... More

We went to the Monday night only "American BBQ Lovers Degustation Special" which price was $68 for 2 people or $124 for 4 people and wish we had never gone. The ribs were drenched with so much of the spicy bbq sauce that you couldn't even taste the meat - I might as well just opened a bottle of bbq... More

Was looking forward to loading up on ribs at the twc. Nice enough place but $26 for a plate with 4 ribs no sides included was fairly steep. By the time I added in drinks sides and dessert I was at $50 and still eyed off massive wieners on the way home. If you want american food hit up meatmother... More

We are visitors from the UK. We had three breakfasts here and they were consistently good. Scrambled eggs are really excellent as is the coffee. Fresh orange juice tastes like it should. Friendly and popular place.

We ventured down to Third Wave Cafe on Saturday for brunch - it was not a good experience from the beginning. The waiter/coffee maker (maybe owner) barely acknowledged us. We ordered blueberry juice which we were told was organic and natural, once we received it in the glass (not bottle) we thought that it did not appear to be organic.... More

It was a hot day in Melbourne, and I took my wife down to get a pregnancy massage nearby. It might sound like a wierd way to start a review of a restaurant, but that is how we arrived at Third Wave Cafe. Across the street...calling us... with soft promises of awesome meats and salad.... So we ate at Third... More

Until today, every time I've visited TWC its been great. Great greeting; great service; great coffee and lovely food. Today is was so bad I ended up walking out. No greeting. Very slow service. In fact after taking my seat and waiting a few minutes (I guessed they might have been busy, but they weren't) a waiter tried to serve... More
