Continue to love it

Everytime I go I enjoy myself immensely.I coudnt think of another place that serves seafood as well as these guys. The staff are fantastic and could not be more attentive. Great place to do business and never had one complaint from any of my clients. Love the place.

This was our second visit here and it is definitely a hidden gem. Tucked away in the Swallows pub, the menu is a nice mix of seafood for all tastes. On the last trip my partner had a massive market fresh cray while I had a few entrees including some magnificent mussels. Allergies are well catered for and issues followed... More

Our first visit to this establishment. We were welcomed warmly and staff were attentive and the menu offered an extensive, largely seafood selection of oysters, mussels, prawns, bug-tails and an impressive range of fish (coral trout, King Geoerge Whiting, Kangaroo Island snapper and more - prepared in a variety of styles eg grilled, pan fried, chilli, crumbed. The wine list... More

Wonderful old pub dating back to 1883. Freshest seafood in Melbourne, expertly prepared and served by courteous, helpful waitresses. Party of four, we started off with the Moreton Bay Bugs (also known as the Slipper Lobster or the Shovel-nose Lobster). We all agreed that these were the best-tasting, best-textured crustaceans we had ever eaten, anywhere. For the mains, we had... More

Today Sunday 22nd Feb 2015 lunch with friends at Rubira's was wonderful. The staff were very helpful sorting out our booking for lunch changing from North Melbourne (who no longer do Sunday lunch unfortunately) to Port Melbourne. Here we were served two delicious platers of seafood. A huge selection with good portions for tasting. Included with a glass of wine.... More

Maybe I was expecting too much because I'd heard a lot of good reviews about this place. I have to say the pub atmosphere was great! And the service was excellent- but I've had better seafood... We had the barramundi spring rolls- they were ok, the garlic tiger prawns- I would swear the garlic was bottled, not fresh, the bugs... More

I went here for a business lunch. They had a great selection of seafood. We took the option of asking the person serving us to organise our food for us. What a fab idea. Each serve was delicious and gave us a great idea of what was on the menu. Each serve was explained and the order was perfect.

A quick cab ride from our Langham hotel, the concierge said "best seafood in Melbourne! Bingo! The whole baked flounder was huge and delicious! The salt & pepper shrimp very tasty starter! We were the only tourists in the full place on a Saturday night. Jeff & Donna White Radnor, PA, USA
