Tasty Food

Tasty food and fairly fast service. The soup was delicious, a large serving with bread. The baguettes were delicious, filled with tasty ingredients and they were happy for 2 people to share as they are generous in size. Tables are close together but it is perfectly positioned, at the end of the... read more

Whilst very small tucked at the end of a Parade, Caffe e Torta offers a variety of dishes in a variety of breads including Gluten Free options. Pasta, Soups, Toasties and Pastries as well as good coffee made a great lunch for us. Small tables so only suitable for two- three people maximum.

This is a fantastic little Cafe that always provides an excellent standard of food and one of the best coffee's in Melbourne. The service is fast and efficient and the variety of good healthy meals is great. It is centrally located in the Royal arcade off the Bourke st mall. Definitely worth a visit.

This was the best coffee and lunch I have had when I visited Melbourne. Staff very friendly and lots of yummy things to choose from. Service was quick and even though they were busy, meal and coffee came promptly. Also, the location is fabulous in a beautiful arcade and really good for people watching. Would highly recommend this café.

We love coming into town on school holidays and this is my pick for coffee in the city. Every time I've been here the coffee has been excellent. We love the hustle and bustle of this gorgeous cafe and the food is always really tasty. My son has food allergies and the staff are always very accommodating. We'll be back!

I am from Sydney and had my first day of roaming in one of my Melbourne visits. I have thought of having a cafe experience just like what I do in Sydney. This resto had me waited for ages and really waited for me to follow up the meals I ordered. The Italian lady who took my orders never put... More

The breakfast here was delicious. Service was friendly. We had poached eggs with salmon and ginger zinger juice. Even the gluten free bread was yum!

I love the coffee they serve which I believe is called Genovese. The down side is that tables are crammed together , no elbow room whatsoever. Staff is mostly very nice apart from one guy, the manager, who seems to be permanently grumpy which doesn't necessarily make you feel welcome as a guest.

Came here for a morning coffee with my husband. Lovely service. Relaxing atmosphere. Superb coffee! Perfect location just inside the Royal Arcade on Little Collins Street. I didn't get a chance to try any of their food but the menu choice looked amazing!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
