Popped in for a coffee & friand on a shopping day in Melbourne. Service was fast and friendly, coffee is great and the friand was fresh & tasty!! There's a fab window sets for people watching. I've been here for breakfast a few times too, it's always good.

I've always loved the look of this café and have had quite a few light meals and coffees there, usually at lunch time or during the afternoon. It can be hard to get a seat, and people are squeezed into small spaces, but the atmosphere remains upbeat. However my last visit was disappointing - and I was embarrassed as I'd... More

What a wonderful cafe! We strolled through the Royal Arcade & this was waiting at the end for us :-) Fantastic food & coffee. The staff were very upbeat & very attentive.

I stumbled into this caffe in Little Collins St after a hard morning of shopping and found the friendliness of the staff and cozy atmosphere of the café really inviting. The hot veggie soup and coffee hit the spot. When the waiter saw me taking a photo of his red Vespa outside the shop, he took my camera and took... More

First I test the coffee, then I order the food. 10/10 on both fronts. The owner recommended the Italiano Breakfast which was great and once again in my 30 year marriage, my wife boasted that she found this cafe on a previous trip to Melbourne. You know the drill guys, their always right no matter what. I left 4 Piccolo's... More

Great service, delicious breakfast and the best coffee we've had in a long time. So good we returned the same day for coffee and cake.

Attentive staff seated me and took the order swiftly followed by prompt delivery. I had breakfast here a well presented mushroom concoction and the BEST chocolate Brownie I have ever had.it melted in the mouth and so chocolatey! The only downside was. The smoker outside the arcade which wafted in my way.

Stopped by for latte yesterday. It was served cool. I sent it back expecting a fresh latte made at the right temperature. Replacement was the same coffee reheated with steam. When I paid, the manager (?) asked me if the coffee was ok I replied that it I expected it to be much better than it was. He stated that... More

We visit Melbourne at least once a year and have always visited the cafe and had the most outstanding coffee - until last year. Thought it may have just been a bad day but, sadly, went again 21/05/14 and the coffee was just ordinary and rather tasteless. The place has lost its mojo - it used to be run with... More

Facing a lane in central Melbourne it's hard to miss as you can see customers sitting at the small front window under their painted sign. Service is friendly. Prices reasonable. The ricotta on bread was a unique option compared to many similar cafes.
