Takeaway very good

Prices were much cheaper than Canberra, and the food was tasty and spicy. We ordered takeaway only, but it was very good.

I hadn't been to smile Thai in a while as I'd moved suburbs. I'm so glad to be back. Amazing good quality food. Really fresh produce & so affordable. Such a welcoming & relaxing place to visit. By no means is it a 5* fancy place but that is this places charm. It's all about good quality food. Defiantly worth... More

When ordering the guy asked if we would like to eat in or take away. We said eat in but then he said we couldn't because they were closing in 20 minutes. We thought it was weird that he asked in the first place but didn't mind having it to takeaway. When we got back we opened the pad thai,... More

Was staying close by and looking for a place for a quick dinner and Smile Thai was just perfect. Great food, great value for money and quick friendly service. No frills but good honest food.

Meals are always consistent! The yellow/green/massaman/red curries are my all time favs. They put veggies in all curries generously. It's tasty!

Authentic thai food. Simple, tasty, fresh and like homemade. I'm there for lunch almost every day. Great value for money...

I love this place - it's so cheap and open late, excellent fresh quality produce, and a suprirsing number of vegetables in each dish that comes with rice (but the perfect amount). All for $8.50!! If i get takeaway i might leave some for lunch the next day!

Tasty meals consistently. This place is awesome for a quick bite after a run or a long day at work. No frills but the daily special is a bargain and delivers the goods.

If you're wanting haute cuisine, then Smile Thai isn't for you (nor is it trying to be something it's not). However, if you want a cheap and very tasty meal, then it's difficult to go past this place. They have a list of dependable specials, such as massaman or red thai curries and Singapore fried noodles and garlic pepper beef.... More

Had a great dinner here - traditional Thai food, cheap prices and very quick friendly service. Would recommend - and definitely try their coconut rice, yum!!

Staying in Chapel Street

Neighborhood Profile
Chapel Street
Seek and ye shall find! Prahran is a treasure hunter’s paradise of vintage stores, upscale boutiques and emporiums. Chapel Street is a one-stop shop with specialty stores selling just about everything. The famous Chapel Street Bazaar has so many curious and vintage knick-knacks that you will feel as if you're in a huge and busy museum. By contrast, at the northern end of Chapel Street, South Yarra and Windsor cater to high-end designer labels and exclusive boutiques. The community flocks to Prahran’s organic markets as a Saturday ritual, while art and film students leaf through vinyl LPs on Greville Street. The gay community also has a strong presence here. Prahran’s heritage buildings like the Reads Emporium and Prahan arcade offer a grand sense of scale and history. No matter your interest, come feel the pulse of one of Melbourne’s most loved precincts.
