Great Fish & Chip shop

A little bit more expensive than your standard fish & chip shop but it is that bit better. Service was very friendly. The fish was grilled perfectly, still full of moisture and flavour. A definite for anyone who enjoys fish

Firstly it's not a cheap eat in terms of fish and chips, that being said the wagyu burger was the freshest and nicest I've had in a long while. I agree that the sugary sweet salt was not great so I think I'd ask for plain salt in future. The beer batter was light and crisp but the fish a... More

Yes, I'm advocating that you go to a fish n chip shop and order poultry, but this chicken burger was so incredibly flavoursome and succulent, I can't resist the inclination to do so. The chips were also some of the best seasoned I've had in a very long time.

The Atlantic Salmon was pretty good but not as fresh as it looked! The salad and chips on the other hand were top notch!

We always come to this place regularly, excellent service, until today. This time I was served blue fish and chips, even though I ordered regular fish and chips. The reason they are blue is because the fish and chips come with tracing paper to absorb oil, but at the same time it is stamped with blue Tank Fish and Chippery... More

I do not write a review to criticise- I write it as I see it at the time - normally after 3 or more visits. It is imperative for a restaurant, especially one in a street like Lygon Street to uphold their set standard. I have eaten repeatedly at restaurants on 'the strip' and had various experiences in quality. Some... More

We stumbled across this seafood cafe which was amongst a whole lot of Italian Restaurants. We wanted something light and we were not disappointed. The seasoned calamari was really the nicest and most tender we have ever had the pleasure of finding when dining out. The chips, yes they were thin, however they were great.

This guy is out of control. Complaining that he couldn't grill the fish as we selected option 2. His explanation was arrogant and confronting. He gave me 2 dirty looks whilst I was waiting, told off the fellow staff member, forgot my potato cake and when asked it said loudly it's coming. Put simply this bloke is a clown AVOID

Had lunch here yesterday. Great staff, great menu, and a very pleasant atmosphere. We both went for the battered flathead, which was sweet and succulent. The chips were well cooked and had a lovely seasoning. The accompanying tartare sauce was very nice indeed, the addition of salad was pleasant if odd. Probably one of the best chippies I've eaten at... More

We have visited Melbourne a few times in the last 4 years and have trekked up and down Lygon St, Carlton just as frequently. The lovely menus of the Italian restaurants (and there are a lot) are spoiled by the spruker's trying to draw you to a table, the constant background noise, and mainly by by the ridiculous prices being...
