Very nice fish and chips

We have walked past this café many times but decided to try it at last. The food belies the ambience of the café, which isn't very enticing. The fish and chips really are very nice indeed and nicely presented. We had one serving which easily did for two people for lunch. Just one gripe. We sat... read more

Tasted some of the best seasoned calamari here. The blue gurnard came cooked in a light and fluffy batter. The price and quality is what we would expect in Queensland. Well worth the visit.

I tried the tank fish and chippery in the emporium mall and totally enjoyed my meal. fresh fish nicely battered with non oily taste. Service was prompt and even eating in a mall food court wasn't too bad. If you are looking for fish and chips in the Melbourne CBD don't go past Tank

A little bit more expensive than your standard fish & chip shop but it is that bit better. Service was very friendly. The fish was grilled perfectly, still full of moisture and flavour. A definite for anyone who enjoys fish

Firstly it's not a cheap eat in terms of fish and chips, that being said the wagyu burger was the freshest and nicest I've had in a long while. I agree that the sugary sweet salt was not great so I think I'd ask for plain salt in future. The beer batter was light and crisp but the fish a... More

Yes, I'm advocating that you go to a fish n chip shop and order poultry, but this chicken burger was so incredibly flavoursome and succulent, I can't resist the inclination to do so. The chips were also some of the best seasoned I've had in a very long time.

The Atlantic Salmon was pretty good but not as fresh as it looked! The salad and chips on the other hand were top notch!

We always come to this place regularly, excellent service, until today. This time I was served blue fish and chips, even though I ordered regular fish and chips. The reason they are blue is because the fish and chips come with tracing paper to absorb oil, but at the same time it is stamped with blue Tank Fish and Chippery... More

I do not write a review to criticise- I write it as I see it at the time - normally after 3 or more visits. It is imperative for a restaurant, especially one in a street like Lygon Street to uphold their set standard. I have eaten repeatedly at restaurants on 'the strip' and had various experiences in quality. Some... More

We stumbled across this seafood cafe which was amongst a whole lot of Italian Restaurants. We wanted something light and we were not disappointed. The seasoned calamari was really the nicest and most tender we have ever had the pleasure of finding when dining out. The chips, yes they were thin, however they were great.
