We went here for my wife's birthday from a recommendation from a friend. The restaurant is located in a small lane way which makes you feel like you are in a Parisian town. The restaurant is beautifully set out with high ceilings and a wonderful atmosphere. We tried a variety of the menu and it was all delicious! The Creme... More

Thanks French Brasserie for a perfect end to a perfect day. Les Mis matinee then French, of course, for dinner and after some research on line (thanks Trip Advisor) found this super spot close to our hotel. We could not have asked for a better experience. Great wait staff, warm welcome, advice if needed, loved the snails and the terrine,... More

We searched TripAdvisor for a good French restaurant near our hotel on our short stay in Melbourne. We are very glad we decided to give this one a go. Yum. That's all I need to say. Great ambience, good staff, excellent food. My husband and I stuffed ourselves on great food and wine and were more than happy when we... More

We attended this restaurant prior to the theatre one night in July 2014, and found it by accident, lucky accident that is, because every aspect of this establishment was very much to be liked, from the attentive French speaking wait staff, to the elegantly prepared food, and the excellent wines. Having found it, we will not be losing it again,... More

We called in without booking on a Friday night for pre concert dinner. This was our first time here and originally we were just going to have the 2 course fixed price meal. As we arrived before the restaurant was open we were ushered in to sit at the bar and look at the menu and have a drink. The... More

On our first night in Melbourne recently, a very cold and windy evening, we wanted to eat somewhere warm and welcoming that served "hearty" winter food. With no booking, we decided to try the French Brasserie and were warmly welcomed. The service by the all-French staff was impeccable, the amuse-bouche gougeres were unexpected and delicious and our food was just... More

The French Brasserie is another one if those places that's been on my bucket list for awhile now, and I finally got to tick it off on Saturday night. I arrived early and attempted to buy a cocktail at Terra Rosa across the lane, but as none of the bar staff there appeared interested in taking my money I decided... More

Booked dinner here as part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival- The Roast Collection, a French themed series of roasts. We were first to arrive in the restaurant and were warmly greeted by one of the many gorgeous wait staff. Within a very short time the restaurant was full! It was a cold and windy Melbourne night and it... More

Having recently returned from la Belle France and in need of a feed, we wandered down the lane towards the sign and were welcomed in typical French style and, despite having no booking, we were shown immediately to a little corner table. Water arrived immediately and the wine list very soon afterwards. All the staff were French speaking so it... More
