Twenty people were having a meal there and the staff was wonderful, very attentive and the food was beautiful as always. The pumpkin soup was divine, perfect for the season and of course I enjoyed the escargots and the beautiful bread baked on the spot and the Boeuf Bourguignon was"delicieux". I have dined there several times and have never been... More

Right from the moment I sipped my kir royale I was in another world! The owner, Hadj and his staff were warm and very attentive and the service was outstanding (my wine glass was never empty!! :-)) The pumpkin soup was divine and the best bread ever for soaking up all that lovely garlicky ecsargot butter, heaven!! My friends and I enjoyed our dinner very much! The menu was delicious, the pumpkin soup with a hint of honey and apple, to die for! Le boeuf bourguignon, tasty! And la mousse au chocolat, Oh. My. God. It was heaven! We could not wish for better food. The manager was super nice as well as all the friendly staff.... More

What a surprise! Wonderful staff, delicious french food. The pumpkin soup and mussels were exquisite. We had the 5 course degustation menu with matching wines. Our waitress was very attentive and organised a glutten free option. We will definitely be back.

We arrived with no booking, this did not seem to phase the manager, who arranged some wine while we waited for a table. Our waitress was fantastic and explained the specials well. I had some pumpkin soup while my wife had a beetroot type salad for entree both were above average. The FB have a good selection of wine at... More

Found it by accident but we were very pleased to see that the food was great, the wine was a perfect match and the service was excellent. I would definitely go back.

It was cold windy and pouring with rain, we arrived without a booking and soaking wet... From the moment they opened the door to the moment we left the entire experience was without fault!!! As an experienced hospitality professional in my own right I have much higher standards and expectations than most and I could count on 1 hand the... More

We checked out the restaurant this afternoon. The decor was contemporary; staff were French and enthusiastic. But cannot say the taste is truly authentic French; although they use good Australian produces and ingredients. The lunch menu salmon was excellent; but the chicken was non-descript. Most surprising creme brulee looked and tasted like premixed custard not a hint of vanilla in... More

TFB is a great restaurant in the heart of Melbourne. It is almost as if you were in France because everything is French such as maître, waiters etc. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing which is in nice contrast to the noise and hectic of many of the trendy places. The food is excellent - well prepared and very tasty.... More
