We attended at 30th Birthday party here and the food was delicious. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere to it with the art deco era lighting and exposed brickwork. On the night we attended we were part of a group of around 25 people. The service on the night was quite attentive for such a large group. We enjoyed shared... More

I was taken by a colleague. We had great service and excellent food. The room is spacious. I did not know the restaurant but would readily return.

Returned to a great restaurant for a memorable meal. Greeted by the restauranteur as old friends. Food great and service admirable. Will visit next time in Melbourne.

Where to eat in Melbourne within CBD. GOOGLED Italian restaurants and this one looked half decent. Surprise, much, much better than we expected. Friday night, booked at 6.30 walked in and pretty empty but lots of promise with ambience and the friendly attention. The specials looked inviting but first drinks received a priority. Orders taken then we realised the place was... More

I was there on a very quiet week night but had an interesting dinner companion and a good meal. The place has atmosphere and authentic Italian food. On a busy night I'm sure it would be a memorable experience. Perfect place for a dinner for two, business or pleasure.

We went after reading many positive reviews and I cannot believe that I was in the same restaurant as those other reviewers! The service was very poor due to a lack of waiting staff. There were only two of them and it was nearly full on the Saturday night that we were there. The more experienced staff member was too... More

We visited Scugnizzo with friends for dinner. Good menu choices, very efficient staff and the meals were excellent. Wine choices good too.

Rustic yet elegant. Quiet so you can have a conversation owing to carpet on floor and generous tables spread out setting. I love the crumbed barramundi. The lamb lasagna is something of an institution apparently. Service slick and friendly.

It has been a couple of years since I was here, great to see things have not changed. Food awesome, so too is the service. Not a loud hustle and bustle restaurant, a nice well priced homestyle italian restaurant. It is worth the extra few yards to find this place. Never ordered lasagne in a restaurant before, but it is... More
