Have obviously read many good things about this place, and living in Melb have seen the weekend line up. I had relatives in town mid week and thought would give it a go. Decor lovely, presentation creative, food tasty and homely (I had a lovely 5 grain porridge). However, it is clear that turnover is paramount and smiling is obviously... More

Hardware soviets was recommended when coming to melbourne, so my friend and I made this our brunch spot one morning. This was my first visit and her second visit here. There was a small waiting list when we arrived although the waiter was efficient and friendly and we had a table within about 20 minutes. We were derived drinks straight... More

Baked eggs or Coddled eggs are superb. Great coffee and cakes too. Expect (like any good place in Melbourne) to have to put your name down for a table, it is worth the wait.

I was taken here for a birthday breakfast and while the food was amazing, the coffee was the best I had in Melbourne. The breakfast menu was varied, offering a lot of interesting and well prepared choices. You can't go wrong here, everything they prepare is done with care and attention to detail. Everything our group ordered was fresh and... More

Close to an hour wait on a Sunday, but definitely worth the efforts. Food was cooked perfectly, variety of choices, fresh ingredients, love the ambience and surrounding. Such a pleasure! Keep up the good work guys! Until next time :)

Full even on a weekday - we were lucky to get a table outside. Loved the baked eggs & perfectly scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, pork belly was really good too. If there was a tad more space between tables that would be great but I guess that's what popular places are like.

Coffee was yum, baked eggs, croissant with selection of jams and the BLT burger was ordered. All food was fresh, tasty and different to everyday breakfast options. A real treat!!

A place where you can enjoy nice coffee, nice food and nice environment with friends. A great place for brunch on a weekend. Only sad part is the queue to be seated is too long.

I am from Perth so this is the first time that I have been to a breakfast place with French influence on the cooking. We loved the different style in the food and coffee was brewed well. We went there on Monday morning thinking it would be better than weekend but realised a long queue after we seated!! Will definitely... More

We didn't find the sign for the restaurant, but saw a crowd waiting to be seated--that's how we found this place. It is situated on a very narrow street that almost looks like an alley, which for us are good signs: the fact that it' s hard to find, yet there is a wait to get in. This place is... More
