My second visit here at the arts centre for a show and decided after recommendation from the front desk where to eat was not unhappy. Order a medium meal of scallops on a bed of coleslaw and sauce beautifully presently and cooked just right then the salmon rillet again served beautifully and both dishes excellent value for money. Had 3... More

The atmosphere really makes this place! It offers a decent wine list at reasonable prices (considering the location!) and food was okay - tasty but nothing too memorable, although the cheese platter is good portions and nice selection. It's really all about the atmosphere here; we went for a drink and snacks after a MSO performance and it was buzzing... More

Trendy eatery within the arts precinct. Great place to visit before a show featuring good food and drink. Excellent spot to meet friends, have a break from sightseeing or do some 'artist' spotting.......you never know who you are going to see.

Great place for a pre-show drink and snack. Advertised on menu that food delivered to table 20 - 30 minutes during busy periods, but we got our food much quicker than that and the place was full. Good wine selection. I ordered some sliders and the octopus, which were nice but not amazing (the pulled pork slider was the highlight).... More

The Curve Bar is a popular place for a snack before or after the theatre. Their range of "sliders" (Tapas if you will!!) has options for the meat eater or vegetarian. And the wine list is extensive. The friendly staff are responsive and friendly. There is a real buzz in the crowd.

At least it is popular after 5 hours of Wagner with members of the cast from stage crew to the walk-on mob and to the famous soloists while the orchestra seems to congregate outside en masse. Food is served up till quite late and the bar features many a good Scotch malt and a reasonable range of Aussie wines and... More

The Curve Bar is a great place for a drink after a show being right in the Arts Centre. The service is good and cheerful. The food is another matter. The menu states the steak is cooked medium. Well, yes it was but then has been stored ?frozen and then microwaved to warm it up. It was barely warm and... More

As a season ticket holder to the Australian Ballet, I have frequented Curve Bar at least 5 times a year over the past 5 years. Needless to say, my previous experiences, prior to my first visit for the 2013 season have always been excellent both in terms of service and food. Come 2013, I'm speechless as to the service that... Great spot for a drink & catch up before a play or concert. However, the kitchen needs to re-visit its menu and think again about simplifying flavours. We had the Blackened King Fish with warm salad - a dish that should focus on the freshness factors but instead mixed ingredients to the extent you were left feeling you had the... More

We had originally intended to catch a pre-dinner bite at the Mezze bar at the Arts Centre but the range of tapas on offering was rather meagre and so we went upstairs to Curve Bar. And were very pleased that we did. We were able to enjoy excellent service from a very attentive female waiter and a lovely share plate... More
