As the former owner, it saddens me to report that Red Tongue has closed down for good. The operators that bought the place from me weren't successful in keeping the business alive. They gave it their best shot, but sadly, the wonderful cafe I once owned is no longer.

We had lunch at this corner cafe. I had a burger and my partner had the $10 chicken Parma - one of a number of $10 specials on offer. Very tasty and filling. I haven't visited Red Tongue, an old favoruite, since there was a change of managemenr. i waited 40 minutes for my order (soup of the day) to arrive and at a time when only four or five other tableswere filled.

Breakfast here was fine and reasonably priced. The coffee was very good which may explain the number of people coming in for take away which meant service of those of us dining in was less than you could hope for.

Staff are just great- polite, friendly and attentive at checking on meals/drinks for a smooth visit. Food didn't take very long to come out on a busy visit also-... More

On a very rainy day and with a big appetite, i came across this cafe where they were still serving breakfast at 2 in the afternoon. The staff is super friendly and my salmon on bagel was excellent. The atmosphere is very relaxed and I loved the music in the background. A very nice place to chill and enjoy a... More

Well worth a visit for delicious food & relaxed cafe atmosphere. Our meals came out very fast & the staff were attentive to see if we wanted any more coffees, without being pushy.

Been here a few times with friends with kids, we have always sat up the back, which has worked with the kiddies. Had breakfast and lunch here, enjoyed both times.
