Ok, so you have to queue. Which in itself isn't that great, but it almost makes the experience at Mamasita even more worthwhile. Luckily we dined here on a Tuesday night and the wait passed quickly. The service was swift and friendly, and every plate of food put in front of us was to-die-for! I even ventured into tequila territory... More

We are visiting from London & this place was recommended by some people we met at another restaurant last night. We went straight in (thank goodness we didn't have to queue!) The menu was printed in feint ink & hard to read. We ordered drinks first but our food arrived long before the drinks. There was more ice in the... More

We went in for a late dinner and only had to wait a few minutes for a table before being seated quickly. The service was efficient but not particularly friendly, which is understandable considering how busy the restaurant is but still not as great as it could be. We ate the corn skewers, plantain chips, a quesadilla and a few... More

We went early having read reviews about the wait time. So we had a 50 min wait getting to a table right on 7pm. The staff first off were great very attentive and kept topping up our water and checking that everything was good. We ordered the corn to start.... So yum I ordered more. We then ordered 3 dishes... Grabbed a quick lunch with friends. We were able to book for lunch which is a definite plus. None of us had been previously and we were all impressed with the great food, ambience and service. We had share plates - started with the ceviche of lime cured fish - delicious and really refreshing - and the beef brisket tamale... More

Enjoyed the food although it's not a place for a quiet meal. The ambience is high volume with music & noisy diners. The drinks were good & the tacos great. Will be back but next time with a group of friends.

Yeah, so the corn on the cob is amazing. 3 people in my work of 20 said to have it, and we were not disappointed. Margaritas were great ($17 each, or $65 for a Jug, wish they told us about the jugs when we got there). The food was good, but not as hot (both temperature and spice) as we... More

This restaurant has a very very positive reputation. I hear crowds line up for an hour to get in. But this restaurant is one of this cheeky places that don't take bookings. They rather inconvenience customers than themselves. Lucky I was in a group of +8 and they did take a booking (must be +8 and they have one table... More

Mamasita was a very firm favorite for a long long time. Happy to stand in queues, always enjoyed the vibe, great drinks, and fresh fresh food. But it's changed. Having gone probably once every 2 months at least for along time, it was always fabulous. Now been twice in the past 2 months, and both times, the food didn't appear... More

We went there before the theatre. We were told they do not "do" reservations and that you had to queue if you were late. Rather presumptuous but a browning and somewhat worrying trend i think. I do not go to a restaurant on the off chance of a seat normally but there was a bit of hype about the place.... More
