Two rolls (with a huge range) plus a tasty miso soup all for $5.00! Make sure you have 10 mins to line up because it always goes out down the laneway but the line is there because everyone knows its delicious, so worth the wait.

A busy restaurant and a range of positive reviews brought me in for a quick lunch but I was very let down my the meal. I had a vegetable tempura bento box of which the tempura, rather than nice generously cut pieces of vegetable in a light tempura batter, was a mix of grated veg pressed together in a stodgy... More

This place is a bit Soup Nazi-esque --- the queue is very formal, the staff don't smile and you'd better know what you want when you get there (or you'll annoy both the staff and the other patrons!). It's all totally worth it though as the sushi rolls are some of the best and cheapest in the city. You can't... More

This is one of the best I have come across so far for a quick and cheap sushi lunch. The sushi quality is by far the best for $2.50+ per sushi roll range restaurant/bar. Beautifully done, the salmon rolls that I had is properly prepared with even salmon in the whole roll. If dine in (NB: limited seats and crowded),... More

Going here for lunch at least twice a week I can say that this is a great place. Cheap fresh and always friendly staff. Quite busy between 12-2pm but after that you'll get your food in seconds

This has to be the best value and highest quality sushi in Melbourne. From a tiny, frantically busy kitchen they produce wonderful sushi, sashimi, bento boxes, traditional cooked Japanese dishes and excellent nori hand rolls. Cash only, no credit cards, and seating available at just a few small tables inside and outside in Causeway Lane. At lunchtime, Melbourne office workers... More

This has to be one of Melbourne's best value lunches. Quick, inexpensive but always thronged with people and requiring you to queue. Don't give up, service is fast and the food excellent. It's a regular haunt when in the City on business.

I tried Sushi Monger after endless recommendations from my colleagues and it is honestly one of the best places for sushi in Melbourne! There's plenty of variety, the sushi is always fresh, and if you manage to avoid the peak hour traffic, you can get in and get out in less than 3 minutes! Great value for money too!

Found this place after stumbling upon the line out the front. Cheap sushi 3 rolls and a miso soup for $6.80 can't best that. The sushi is all hand made and fresh. There are a few tables inside and out but takeaway is the best option. Service is quick and good. I go there every two weeks
