This is a weekend favourite for me. The poached eggs are some of the best in Melbourne and the staff care about the quality of the coffee here. Would suggest they look at getting an eftpos terminal though as many other small cafes in melbourne have started to do.

Had breakfast at Degraves last weekend. First discovered this little gem last year and was looking forward to going back again. Breakfast was great, actually the best poached eggs I have ever had, so fresh. Servings are generous and we just love the atmosphere in Degraves St. The only downside was that we had some people sitting near us at... More

I had breakfast here and the service was great. Sat in front of the window ordered a caffe latte which was made really well ) nice and strong. Ordered poached eggs with a side of salmon ( there was a generous amount of smoked salmon) and the eggs were poached perfectly.

Stopped here twice and loved it. Great food, coffee and wine. Relaxed climate. Only downside is it is cash only - couldnt use my card not even a debit card.

Nicely prepared food and drinks with good service and a nice atmosphere. Worth looking for in Melbourne's back alleys.

This is a Melbourne Icon. Yet, it is truly overrated as a coffee 'destination'. Come for the people watching not the food, which is rubbish nor the coffee which is average at best. Staff sat at the table next to us and blew cigarette smoke on us..was unbelievable. Service was begrudging at best.

This place was a real find for me. $11 for toasted panini. I have tried both the cajun chicken and the roasted vegetable and both were very nice. The latte and cap are both pretty good also. The only time I had a bit of a let down was when I ordered a Chait latte. Wasn't really what I expected... More

I've been coming to this cafe since many of its current staff were foetuses and it's almost never disappointed. Its forte are scrumptious breakfasts. I can't eat the French toast anymore for health reasons but I used to love it. The best anywhere. I adore the porridge and the various combos of bacon, eggs etc etc. The coffee is divine... More

We visit here for lunch. Order flat white, mocha, chai latte and panini. Pretty good coffee but quite small size and not hot enough. No coffee menu, you need to ask what kind of coffee they will provide.

A great location situated in one of Melbourne's lovely arty lane ways, loaded with character, with perfect coffee but the risotto I ordered off the specials board was quite disappointing. It was seriously undercooked, not wet enough and with barely any flavour. My partner though had a panini, which he was quite happy with. I wouldn't be rushing back.
