Ordered the green eggs breakfast. Food was fast and very nice. When we sat down no one came to serve us until we yelled out to them. Staff member came back 3 times to confirm the very simple order we made. At the end my change was literally chucked into my hand without a single word being exchanged. Will never... More

I had breakfast here during a business visit to Melbourne. It certainly is typical of the many cafes and restaurants that can be from in Melbourne's lanes and alleys. I enjoyed my poached eggs and coffee. Plenty of flavour and well priced. The service was good and the atmosphere is very relaxed and a little on the hippy side. Certainly... More

Lane-way culture Melbourne is famous for. Crammed in among six or seven other cafes and restaurants along this little strip Degraves Espresso seems to stand out for their laid back attitude but still manage to produce a great coffee.

My wife and I had the house made muesli for breakfast. Muesli, berries, passion fruit yoghurt, nuts. It would have to be the best muesli we have ever had, and for $9.50, you will not get better value anywhere. Service is a little chaotic (mix up with coffee), however ended up with extra free cup as a result. Looking forward... More

Enjoyed eating here for breakfast twice while on holidays. The only Reason I didn't go three times was because hey were closed New Year's Day! Ordered the green eggs with smoked salmon...so delicious. (Scrambled eggs with pesto and feta). Great coffee, and fast friendly service. The waitress was adorable she will sit next to you to take your order lol.... More

We popped in for dinner on the 27th of December 2013. Whilst it was late in the day there were plenty of items on the menu unavailable. We ordered at least one of everything that was left. The food was quite nice but you practically had to yell at staff to get their attention. This seems to be a common... More

Paella was good but we also had pasta & it was very average. Some staff were ok, but most were not attentive. We asked for a take away container for left over paella & we got given something which looked like the street kids of Mumbai had found on the rubbish dump! Bit disappointing considering Degraves st has such good... More

A great little spot, and great for people watching! Had tapas and it was lush. Lots of choice and a great offer of 3 dishes for $34 easily enough for two! The breakfast menu also looks good!

Tried to get a late breakfast at another establishment and they recommended Degraves and gave directions (as they didn't serve after 10am). Just down from Federation Square. Good value for money and good quality food. Staff were attentive and friendly. Only downer for me is that if you sit outside you are sitting in a smoking area.
