This is how a wine bar should be

A fantastically great selection of Australian and international wines, great wines by the glass in a very cozy atmosphere. Must visit.

We had lunch here before attending a performance at the Princess Theatre (virtually next door). Wonderful wine selection, and amazing tasty food. We sat outside, as it was a great day, but inside there was seating at the bar and a huge communal table. Highly recommended

We called in here for recuperation after an exhausting morning at the Zoo with our young grandchildren. Some excellent wine (a particularly lovely French white Burgundy) provided the immediate revival, and the some very tasty sharing plates completed the process. Add in great service from lovely, friendly staff, and you have a perfect package for casual refreshment.

This is everything I look for and expect from a seriously good wine bar in the city. The wine selection is second to none, the bar itself is rustic in a very urban sort of way and the clientele a wonderfully mixed bunch. Not cheap but something of a hidden haven in a city bursting with über cool drinking establishments.

It's great inside. The location itself is on the edge of the city grid with the free Melbourne circle tram running past here. The service was ok rather than fast, but friendly enough. Topped up water etc. The coffee was good but took 15 mins to arrive

This place was recommended to me and I went along to try it whilst on holiday in Melbourne. There are many wines to choose from, and so many are available by the glass. Tables can be had on the pavement or inside and the place was full of business types when I went for lunch so I would guess it is... More

we travel overseas and enjoy people watching, but do not do it at home. This Wine shop/restaurant in the centre of Melbournes theatre district, has it all. Grab a table and chair outside sit back, enjoy and relax. There is a great selection of wines, reasonably priced and then also the high ticket items, you choose as per a liquor shop,... More

I found this hidden gem 12 months ago and had to come back on our recent trip back to Melbourne. Centrally located, opposite State parliament we found this place did not disappoint. The blackboard menu is simple but of an extremely high standard and an endless supply of wines to choose from. The simple setting gives this place some nice... More

We had small plates to share, duck terrine, polenta chips and little Spanish cheesy fritters that I forget the name of. These were amazing and I would get them again all to myself! Top off with an amazing chocolate fondant with hazelnut ice-cream. The wine list is extensive and the coffee is great. Service is also great. Love this place!
