met up for lunch with a friend I had not seen in 25 years - after reading other reviews thought it would be great - the meal was pricey for what it was - daughter hated her parmi - and service was not at all freindly

We went for a Wednesday lunch and was surprised at how busy the restaurant and bar was. We were told the bar was built in Ireland and shipped out, the inside of the place certainly looks authentic Irish. The food was excellent, well presented and with reasonable quantities to satisfy three hungry diners (none of this stupid haute cuisine lettuce... More

We visited The Quiet Man as a group with four adults and a toddler. We arrived a bit early for lunch and waited for someone to arrive - another couple of people were also waiting. The staff member arrived while talking on the phone. He completely ignored everyone who was waiting to be seated. I don't expect people to drop... More

This has just been my 6th trip to Melbourne, and I always make a point of returning to The Quiet Man for a Guinness or two. On this trip I only managed to get there at lunch time, which was particularly quiet (no pun intended) which was the only reason to drop marks based on atmosphere. The Guinness is always... More

Our first visit to this pub and the six of us were not disappointed. Pork belly was the best dish at our table, the Jamesons Chicken was a special of the day and I had a taste of that too and it was delicious, I had the seafood chowder and couldn't finish it, bangers and mash was great, as was... Service has been very slow for a while ( waiting up to 50 min for a meal). But now is not worth the wait. The Steak Sandwitch was plain, small and very ordinary. The fish was similar. They once served lovely meal but not going back again now. Very poor effort Quiet Man. :(

This joint is a must for ramblers from the oul sod who wander to Melbourne. I have dined here numerous times and have yet to be disappointed with the fare or the quality. Ranging from the stew, to bangers & mash and lock Aussie favourites, bring your appetite. The ploughmans breakfast is a must

I have eaten here several times - the food is always delicious - homemade, hearty wholesome tucker. You're better off going there with an empty stomach - because the meals will fill you!! The service is always exceptional. I just can't say enough about this place! It's great for a few drinks on a Sunday afternoon - they provide live... More

There is a warm atmosphere in the dining area and more relaxed drinking vibe in the front area. Food is delicious, especially enjoy the beef and Guinness pie and the stew which comes in a loaf of bread!
