Amazing corn fritters and banana bread, great coffee. Very accommodating of us having our large dogs tired up with us, staff were out turning the gas heater on for us as soon as we sat down! Was really lovely and relaxing!

This place should be good, but unfortunately it is lacking. The food isn't too bad, but it's a little overpriced and nothing particularly special. The service is haphazard and slightly chaotic, and definitely very impersonal for a place which has lots of regulars and should be a bit friendlier I think. The cafe has a slightly dirty feel to it...... More

Well located. Nice selection of brunch / lunch options. Never overly busy. The bacon sandwich was particularly nice. Some staff friendly some a tad cold. Would recommend though.

The cafe has a nice building on a moderately busy street. Popular with mums and toddlers, with space out the back for kids to play. Food generally good.

Birdies, is the perfect inner city place for breakfast, as it has the ambiance, professionalism that you would expect from a successful cafe in Carlton, the service is friendly but efficient( the two do not always go together) the menu is large enough to be interesting but sticks to food that looks good, tastes even better, is served quickly and... Great Coffee, slow service, from ever changing staff. I have seen several different menus and staff over the last four years. Breakfasts are good especially the Vegetarian and oepning times helpful.

Having noticed Birdie Num Num on child-friendly-dining websites, my partner & I were pleasantly surprised to walk in to a perfectly adult establishment; somewhere we'd choose to dine even without our toddler in tow. The indoor street-entry part of the cafe is rustic, classy & warm, and spacious enough that if there were any kids in there, they'd be unlikely... More

We live in Melbourne inner city and are spoilt for choice, therefore, we were disappointed to eat a lunch at Birdie Num Num's that didn't meet our expectations. The cajun chicken burger with chips at $15.00 was very ordinary in flavour while the fruit toast at $7.00 tasted like the supermarket variety. Most places that serve fruit toast use a... More

Easy simple cafe. Good price. And a play area and sand pit out the back.

Birdies has the best coffee in this strip of shops, its a thriving interesting part of nth carlton, very child friendly cafe with lots of good, fresh food options. Friendly staff. There is the best childrens bookshop and two terrrific toy shops very nearby, go you'll like it
