This was a big disappointment. The streak sandwich & burger were junior size & quite pricey for the portion size. Coffee was ok however their sweets were stale & not fresh for being a 'bakery'. All cold drinks are organic.

This is a fairly regular coffee spot of mine, one of the best in the Abbotsford area. The pastries are really good and the ingredients used in them clearly very fresh. Would highly recommend stopping here to anyone in the area.

Definitely adepts of Slow Food, this is with no doubt a secret jewel of inner Melbourne. A quite setting, excellent bread and coffees ... and much to do close by for the kids.

A late breakfast / early lunch was enjoyed here @ the Convent Bakery among many others enjoying themselves likewise. Beautiful outdoor area under blue skies just increased the excitement @ ambience. Our food was excellent & served by a young man over here from Vancouver Canada. The Convent is an extraordinary place & has a Farmer's Market there every month,where... More

We travelled 40min for a 'special' brekkie at the convent bakery. Very disappointed, barista was rude and argued when we took back the 'strong coffees' that we ordered because they were plain milky. All four of us ordered eggs, they arrived stone cold, hollandaise also cold and had no flavour outside butter. Fairly confident all elements were pre-made then assembled.... More

I have been patronising this bakery for some years . But now I can barely be bothered and really it is only the convenience factor that keeps me coming and that there are no nearby better options . As a bakery one would expect the pastry to be good . However recent disasters with a calzone and a Cornish Pasty... More

We had the vegetarian pizza with salami ($14) which was simple but so full of flavour (and I eat a lot of pizza). I had a piccolo latte and the flavour and aroma of the house blend (a mix of about 7 or 8 single origin beans from all around the world) was fantastic. The coffee is full of body... More

Typical but lovely cafe style food done the fancy way but not too pricey. Fantastic selection of breads and cheerful service.

Delicious lunches at astoundingly cheap prices - my favourite for an easy and lazy picnic.
